Por desgracia alguien de nuestra familia fue " atendido por ese Hombre " , el Doctor Packer da un servvicio sin calidad, no le importa la vida del paciente ni los sentimientos de la familia . Creo que el peor que el cancer es el Doctor Packer

I was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2010. I have been without symptoms for six years. Dr. Packer was my oncologist at Mt. Sinai. With whatever protocols he thought appropriate, I am alive today.

This man has clearly forgotten why he went into medicine in the first place. His bedside manner is inexcusable! He is pompous, condescending, callus and inconsiderate. He basically told us there's nothing left to do after one round of radiation. Although that MAY be true - we don't know, but it was how he said it. It was cold, insensitive and as if he wanted to wash his hands of my brother-in-law. He kept stating how long he's been doing this but not giving ANY other options for treatment. He FORGOT that when a patient puts their life in your hands it is a PRIVILEGE!! When confronted by a family member with extensive knowledge in the field of oncology he slowly backed out of the room leaving us still wondering what the next step should be. He gave NO HOPE to the patient and THAT is inexcusable! Dr. Packer you are not only a disgrace to your profession but to mankind in general. You brag about your 37 years doing this well you've been doing it too long because you lost sight of what… cancer care is about. Please retire and let the human beings with hearts take over. No one needs a heart more than those diagnosed with cancer! I'm ashamed for you!!

Dr. Packer is not at all professional. He lies to your face about your prognosis and doesn't have a care in the world about how people are feeling emotionally. It took the radiation oncologist almost three months to get Packer to return his calls and schedule a chemo/radiation course for my spouse after initial diagnosis. If you're not happy with him, please follow your instincts and go to someone else regardless of cost. I wish we had, now it's too late.

He is horrible, rude and makes inappropriate sarcastic comments

Dr. Packer grossly misrepresents the chance of a cure, downplays the adverse side effects, devotes little attention to his patient's condition, needs, progress. It is shocking he is affiliated with the fine hospital of Mt. Sinai. AVOID HIM !

in my presence told a patient with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer, when the patient asked what was his (Packer's) hope in prescribing chemotherapy said, "that it will cure your cancer" --- with a smile and a giggle.He's a DOPE.

Dr. Packer is extremely knowledgeable regarding his profession . His direct answers to All our questions was very appreciated especially after getting answers that were vague from other Doctors. After discussing our post op treatment options we felt confident that this would turn out for the best!
