He received his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Emory University in Atlanta before attending Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. Dr. Scott received numerous academic and service awards at Howard University and was voted junior class vice-president before becoming president of his senior graduating class. He then continued his post-graduate specialty training in orthodontics at Howard University and was awarded the prize for resident with the highest academic average. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Southern Maryland Dental Society, Hummingbird Study Club and Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. Dr. Scott is married to Dr. Zavia Scott and they have two daughters, Arianna and Talia. In his spare time he enjoys travel, golf and especially coaching two little league soccer teams.
