Dr. Stuart Gary Shapiro, MD

He was, by far, the most condescending and rude doctor I ever had. He never looked at me when he was talking, and he wouldn't listen to me when I tried to talk. I would definitely avoid this doctor.

I'm not a doctor, but I know what a good doctor is and it certainly is not Stuart. Never returns a call during a crisis, never available on the phone. It's a small town and unfortunately you're stuck with the choices available, Stuart is one of those choices.

Dr. Shapiro has been my doc for 20 years. He's very thorough. While he doesn't include small talk in your visit he is constantly listening to everything you tell him. He's referred me to specialists as needed. I've overlooked his "bedside" manner and realize through the years that his gift of listening far outweighs any "chit-chat" manner that he lacks. He knows (remembers) everything about my health and once I've gotten to know him I think he's excellent!

If He isn't sure about your problem he sends you to someone who specializes in that field to help you. I have always found his bedside manner to be excellent for myself, husband and daughter. If I call in the evening or weekend he himself calls me back. He sits and listens to our problems..he has time for us. I have doctored with him for over twenty years and I can't find a fault with him. My appointment time is always right on time and his nurses are all very nice to us, maybe I could say extra nice. If we have an emergency he always gets us right into his office and takes care of us like he really cares and we are not just another insurance claim for him.

After 20+ years as a patient this POS has never suggested I get a physical, colonoscopy or any other type of routine test that most encourage. I am over 50yo right now. Last physical (by him) was in 2001 at my request. Every doctor he has ever referred me to (total of 4) over the years has always been jewish. You read between the lines. I am seeking a TRUE professional who bases his decisions on quality medical care not directing business to the "tribe." He has the personality of a cardboard box and is arrogant/ignorant.

In my opinion he was very rude.
