Dr. Stuart Wasser, MD

Dr Wasser is a compassionate, brilliant doctor who has a keen expertise in helping each patients individual needs. He listens thoroughly and came up with a plan to best suit my needs. He has addressed my weight issues and has helped me achieve the goals that we have set together.

Dr. Wasser is the best Dr. For my issues. He is very knowledgeable and compassionate. If I have an emergency I can always get him on the phone. He is a great Dr. And a great person.

Dr. Wasser is a wonderful doctor. He is very knowledgable and keeps up-to-date with current research in medicine. He also knows when to say "I don't know" (something many doctors need to learn how to do better!) He has amazing bedside manner and you never feel like the visit is rushed. On top of having great bedside manner you can be assured that with Dr. Wasser you are getting top quality care.

I have been going to Dr. Wasser for 5+ years, and I would recommend him to anyone who has need for an internist. He is extremely knowledgable in all fields of medicine. I have had quite a few problems with my health and he has helped me with them all. He has the best bedside manner of any physician I have had. You feel very comfortable talking with him. His staff ( Rosa and Mataya) are sweet, caring and nice. Also, Dr. Wasser does not give you the feeling of being rushed in your appt. I have had doctors I thought were listening to me, when they were really waiting for me to finish speaking, not hearing me, just themselves. He just personilzes the visit to where he HEARS what you are saying and addresses it appropriately. Dr. Wasser and staff get a full 4 stars across the board!

I have been seening Dr. Wasser for over 13 year for Ebstien Barr Fibromylagia & a touch of connective tissue disease. I suffer almost every day with unbearable nerve pain! He knows the answer to your medical questions almost before you even ask them. He is caring, extremely intuitve, kind, super intelligent, who operates on a different level but is down to earth and has an excellent sense of humor. Rosa his assistant is fantatic & is truly the most wonderful compassionate person, just like Dr. Wasser. Mytia his other assistant is excellent as well. I am so lucky to have found such an exceptional physician who always takes such good care of all of his patients. I have had some Major Medical Crisis not in his field and even when he didn't have to be, he was right on it. Enough great things couldn't be said, if you are looking for the best he is it!!

Dr Wasser, and staff are caring and courteous. Dr Wasser will spend the time to explain your problem and treatment. He also offers different types of treatment that he thinks would be best for his patient. He is a throw back to the days when Dr's cared more about their patients then what insurance you have!!!

I am a college educated women who for many reasons became addicted to painkillers (opiates). I had been through one horrific detox in patient and did not want to do it again. Dr Wasser helped me to detox at home - also while i was still working. It was very comfortable detox and then i was able to focus on my recovery in a 12 step program. I am very grateful to him.

This doctor is not a specialist in Addiction Medicine although as a NYS licensed physician he is able to practice this specialty. He does not take any insurance for this treatment and charges $ 250 for a 30 minute initial consultation. Follow up visits are $75 & the 2nd visit is 1 week after the 1st, then once a month until he determines that the addict no longer needs the medication. The bulk of his practice seems to be addicts. He has a lecture down pat that he gives about the treatment with legal withdrawal drugs. (opiate blockers).If you are looking legally withdraw from heroin and become a legal drug addict for a while he is the man to see. In my case, a family member was looking to do a home detox from heroin & sought him out for help. The family member was unable to tolerate the 1st medication, which is sometimes the case. The prescription I paid for was filled by me at the pharmacy across the lot from his office. When the 2nd prescription was needed, he demanded that we return… to him whatever was left of the 1st one before he would write the 2nd.This sounds little fishy to me as it was only a 1 week prescription to being with. I realize that he is dealing with addicts and this is a drug that does fill the opiate receptors in the brain so that the addict does not have the craving for heroin, I found this taking back the meds to be questionable. I would NOT recommend this treatment. It is safer to go to a facility to withdraw in a more closely monitored environment.
