A little over a year ago, I came to her previous practice because of my severe GI issues. She was the third gastroenterologists I went to because I was having severe GI issues that my previous gastroenterologists couldn't figure out that caused me to lose nearly 100 pounds and left me underweight. I went to her because my Nurse Practitioner made me a referral to go to a third Gastroenterologist. When she first came into my office, she realized that she was my third gastroenterologist I went to and I already numerous testing done, she straight up told me while kinda laughing that she didn't have a cure for me. I told her what I was eating which was a little bit of skinless chicken breast, avocado, white rice, potato, banana, spinach. I told her that it couldn't be IBS because every time I ate anything, it caused pressure at the top of my stomach which caused me to undereat for months. When I told her this, she claimed that this was a "normal symptom of IBS", I lost 100 pounds!… How could this woman say that's a normal symptom of IBS? People with IBS do not go through the drastic rapid weight loss that I did. She told me to take some OTC medication, she told me to go on a low fodmap diet, eliminate gluten and dairy, was she not paying attention when I told her about the very strict diet that I was on that stricter than any of those? My Nurse Practitioner did more blood testing on me because she suspected a multisystemic situation and found out I have severe hypogonadism and declared it to be the cause of my GI issues, she referred me to an Endocrinologist who started me on TRT and now my GI issues have been reversing to the point I regained weight and can eat whatever I want now proving there was a deeper issue in my body.
