I feel that this Whole facility has some fishy business going on. First of all Dr Dharia spent 15 mins with my daughter to reach to a conclusion about her condition, where her complaints were my daughter didn't react to her much even though she was fun, she was playing with her selection of toys even though the doc was providing her different options etc. What astonishes me is that being a behavioral specialist why Dr Dharia couldn't take into consideration about factors like, maybe shez shy in front of strangers, maybe 15 mins time is not very optimal when kids at that age take time for warming up and opening up to strangers however friendly the doc is, maybe my daughter felt secure playing with her own selection of toys when she was suddenly exposed to a stranger and being asked lot of questions etc while diagnosis. After 15 mins of spending time with my daughter she actually already had all the doctor referrals etc papers all ready to give us which was suspicious, as if Dr Dharia… already knows what kind of help my daughter needs before even spending time with her, as if they are there to promote business for other doctor friends related to her field so that they would get share in the profit. Other Issue is their Billing. They repeatedly say that one neurological exam which takes 2hrs to conduct (which they did it for 15mins for my daughter) and for which they charge $406 is not covered by certain insurance companies even before you take an appointment. They will not charge the insurance that amount coz they act confident about it and keep sending you notices one after the other hurrying you with phone calls. I feel like an idiot that I paid the whole $406 amount when they hurried me, but my friend took her son there and the same thing happend to her. My friend was stubborn enough to tell the billing that she would only pay, if they charge it to her insurance and they don't pay. They charged her insurance and it was paid by the insurance. So she saved $406 while I ended up wasting money and going through emotional trauma. My friend said the billing almost argued with her when she asked them to charge that amount to the insurance. GOing throught this experience, my opinion is that it's just a strategy to pull more money from parents, coz if they charge the insurance, the insurance would only pay them certain amount for being in their network etc and if they put that burden on parents they can pull all the money without cuts. This place is a money drawing machine in my opinion, giving parents wrong diagnosis and making their small problems look bigger. The person who sets up the appointments Linda is very helpful and calls you back whenever you have a question. But that only makes the whole experience a little bearable that's it. My daughter had delayed speech and after 2 months of their horrifying diagnosis and without any treatment suggested by Dr Dharia, she started speaking in huge sentences. Parents I know getting an appointment for behavioral doctors is very hard and these doctor is very easy to make an appointment with but please go to other behavioral doctors who you know for sure can help your child or who you know someone has already benefited from and save yourself money and emotional trauma. Behavioral Problems are a huge thing and we don't want anyone to cash on our problems and scare us to death isn't it?
