She did not listen to my experience. I had a recent diagnosis by another endocrinologist (with whom I couldn’t book an appointment). I’ve been taking a medication that doctor prescribed for me and it was effective. But she denied my claim saying that it cannot be effective after just a month. And when I showed her photos to prove my claim she said that can be due to other medications. But my symptoms were just progressing before taking the new medication so I’m sure the positive effects are due to it. Then she said she wanted to rule out my diagnosis and for that purpose I should stop taking all of my medications for 2 months so that we can do more lab tests (although the other doctor said more testing was not necessary). When I asked how she justified the improvements if she wanted to rule out the diagnosis, she said she didn’t believe in the improvements. It makes me very uncomfortable that just because she thinks it’s not dangerous for me to not take my medications for 2 months, she… doesn’t understand that the medications are still doing things for me and when I stop them I won’t have those positive effects. I will try to book an appointment with another endocrinologist. But till then I’ll have to feel confused and neglected because of her arrogance and denial of others (including me and the other endocrinologist).

This doc wouldn't renew my scrips, kept wanting more info, kept making me come back to see nurses and try changes. I didn't need changes. My A1C was fine.

Dr Trikudanathan was very professional, friendly, and thorough in her examination. Was extremely knowledgeable about my hypothyroid condition and medication options. An excellent doctor and would highly recommend. Would add more stars if I could.

received type 1 as an adult, was consistently treated like an average case and was later told I need to see a psychologist when I was having issues due to carb restriction and not eating for days during stomach flu.
