Dr. Subrata Mukherjee

DO NOT GO HERE. My encounter with him was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. Firstly, he was very accusatory the entire time. I usually take extremely good care of my teeth, but since I got my braces and COVID-19 happened, I haven't been able to get a professional cleaning. He told me that I had bad oral hygiene and told me to floss/brush in a very demeaning way as if he didn't believe me when I told him that I do so already. One of my fillings broke and he tried telling me that I didn't have a filling in that tooth, so here's another instance where he tried to invalidate what I was saying. Secondly, it's understandable that some root canals need to be done by a specialist, but Dr. Mukherjee is not certified to do root canals on molars at all. I would want my dentist to be fully certified in something so commonly done. The secretary/dental hygienist was a sweetheart, though. Very kind and helpful. She was the one that told Dr. Mukherjee to check the rest of my teeth to make… sure there were no other cavities (something that should be done regardless at a checkup, no?), and suggested getting a waterpik. She listened to me and gave me solid advice

I''m a student at UAlbany and needed to see a dentist for a general checkup and cleaning and saw Dr. Muherjee was close by to campus and his profile picture seemed welcoming, so I called to book an appt., and they were able to fit it into my schedule within two days of the phone call. When I arrived, the receptionist was pleasant, and the waiting room was welcoming in the good-dr.'s-office sort of way. Judy, the woman who took my xrays and cleaned my teeth, was nice. She made me feel comfortable and cleaned my teeth really well! then the dr. came in, introduced himself, and checked my teeth, answered my questions and we chatted a little about biology(m major) and where its been. check-out was very simple. I don't know what my plans are for the fall yet, but if I'm at Ualbany, I like to think I'll be coming here again for my sixth-month appointment.
