Dr. Suchithra A Nancherla, MD

Horrible person. She makes fun of Poor people. Very disrespectful.

I want to get the word out that this place is really disappointing. AVOID this place. Absolutely unprofessional. Dr. Nancherla herself is a fine doctor but her staff is absolutely horrendous. The appointment was scheduled for my mother whose first language is not English. There unfortunately was a miscommunication as when her appointment was and so we missed the day and came in two days late (supposed to go in on Tues. came in on Thurs instead). Immediately as we walked in the female front desk nurse said "they missed their appointment we have to charge them $50." I tried to reason with them as we had never missed an appointment in the past and it was an honest mistake because otherwise we would have not shown up two days later. She refused to waive the $50 fee so I'm out a half day of work, $50, and a doctor's appointment for my mom. Additional frustration: it's a small office with only one doctor. Next available appointment was next year. Never going to go back.

I had a blood test in their office onetime, the nurse hardly knew what she was doing. Dr. Nancherla is nice but appears unconfident, subsequently I could not determine whether she actually is a good endocronoligist or just a really nice one.

Poor bedside manner. Went to her for help managing wide fluctuations in my blood glucose levels, as well as my TSH and T4, which leave me experiencing an unrelenting sense of fatigue that leaves me unable to remain awake for more than 5-6 hours per day. She is seemingly unable to help with my glucose, my sugars have not improved at all and I wholeheartedly feel as though I am now worse under her care. After expressing to Dr. Nancherla I am unable to wake up due to such severe fatigue, she proceeded to inform me she was requiring me to test my blood sugar at 3:00 AM. Although I typically would not be opposed to fulfilling such a request, I am completely unable to do so at this point and time and unfortunately she did not seem to believe nor care about the severity of my condition and declining health that inhibits me from willingly waking up at any given point in time, even if I so desperately desire to do so! When discussing my TSH and T4 levels, Dr. Nancherla blatantly admitted… that although there were giant swings between the levels numerous times over the course of a week. (0.80 -2.30 ish) in under 5 days, she refused to treat me because my numbers "were not bad enough" despite the fact I was already experiencing severe symptoms of a thyroid disorder. During my first appointment I expressed that I was quite concerned with a sudden increase in my weight. I am a 5'4 woman who has never weighed more than 105lbs in my life, yet I found my weight had climbed up to the 120s despite no changes in appetite. Although Dr. Nancherla seemed to understand this aspect of my physical makeup at first, during my 3rd appointment my weight had fluctuated down 5 pounds, leaving me at 115lbs. When she noticed this she accused me of having an eating disorder and refused to prescribe me the Omnipod pump as she felt I was "too thin" to wear it and it would fall off. Suffice to say, I was disgusted. Never have I been so blatantly disrespected and never have I ever been accused of something so drastic and blatantly untrue! Furthermore, the way in which Dr. Nancherla seemed to blatantly advertise a subsequent pump after she denied me the Omnipod leads me to believe she could be endorsed by the company that produces this device. She didn't seem to think twice once I explained that after MUCH research that the Omnipod can be worn and utilized successfully by children as young as 4 years of age. (I mean, its as simple as a Google image search, really). Finally, Dr. Nancherla proceeded to criticize me by telling me I should not seek a pump based upon a tubeless design. I found her response quite laughable, because after I had struggled and abhorred wearing a pump with tubing for many years, Dr. Nancherla still acted as if I was too unintelligent to make my own decisions. Unfortunately for Dr. Nancherla, I am intelligent enough to know when to take my business elsewhere and I will be looking for an endocrinologist who truly cares about my health.

Not recommended...bedside manner is awful, and her staff are very rude.

My overall experience with this practice is very good after one visit. The doctor took a lot of time sleuthing my unusual health problem, ordering a lot of documents from my internist's office to be faxed and getting other tests completed. I go back for a follow up next week - I look forward to finding the results of this detective work. The staff was very courteous and helpful, and the doctor very thoughtful. I appreciate that she is not rushing into treatment but gathering as much info as she can.

Dr. Nancherla gives poor services with incompotent staff. They failed once too many time to notify patients for required documentation. Very difficult to work with to resolve outstanding issues. The staff are rude and insufficient.

The main thing that i like in the Doctor is she is so caring and spends lot of time with the patient listening with patience. I see many of the doctors who do not have patience at all. She is awesome. I recommand her to many people. She is a gem of the doctors. Ofcourse getting an appointment sucks.
