I was diagnosed with ADHD at 17 by Dr. Morthala. He gave me no insight to the condition, no prognosis, no treatment plan. Later I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder by a different psychiatrist and was completely blindsided because Dr. Morthala had never discussed the possibility of comorbity and didn’t help me understand the condition at all. He is not a good doctor. He practices from a checklist.

I am pleased. No pill pushing here. Have had some difficulty finding a good doctor for some time. I have some psychology background so I know what I am talking about. very comprehensive approach... Never heard a psychiatrist talk about psychodynamics, defense mechanisms, transference... Very surprising to see that there are some psychiatrists like this...

All around good care and counseling. I have been called at home once by the Doctor during a difficult time. That let me know right in the beginning, this was a caring physcian and staff.

Very much like this practice. Dr.Morthala, the staff are simply fantastic. My therapist Kathy is phenomenal as well. I am very happy with the progress I am making. I feel great about it, not like just any other patient on an assembly line as I have seen some other places. I can keep going on.

I took my 11 year old daughter for further treatment of ADHD. She was already on Concerta before I saw this doctor. I was very pleased. He seemed to be very caring and knowledgeable. He recommended some bloood tests and it turns out that my daughter has a thyroid problem, which may have been affecting her concentration and she may have been misdiagnosed as "ADHD" in the past. We are going to see an endocrinolgist soon. I am so glad he just didn`t "try another medication" and wanted us to get these tests. I highly recommend this doctor if you want some good help. Oh...my daughter said she liked him a lot too.

After waiting for 40 minutes, I saw this doctor for pharmacophobia (abnormal fear of medication). He gave me a prescription for sleep which included a mild anti-anxiety. I was very disappointed....I would love to be able to conquer this fear, but giving a pill to a pharmacophobic is like putting a clausterphobic in a small closet. It was a very expensive 20 minute appointment.

Found him very personable and patient. Before I met him, was worried he might have a difficult accent,but absolutely no problems there. Had an excellent command of the language. Was pleasantly surprised at the wait time ... or lack of...even for my first appointment. Didn`t find him to "push pills" at all, but actually listened and gave some great suggestions.Highly recommend.

The best psychiatrist that I have seen in my 20 years as a patient suffering from severe depression and anxiety. Very thorogh, asked very pertinent questions,great suggestions. The initial visit itself was very helpful ad he helped me understand several things that no one even bothered to ask me in all these years. I have seen that he spends lot more time even on followup visits and not just handing out refills. I have recommended him whole heartedly to many others and they all had the same experience as me.
