Dr. Sudhakar Vadivelu

I have only good things to say about Dr. Vadivelu and his team. He is thorough, compassionate, understanding, patient, and kind. Anyone I've spoken to who has worked with him holds him in high regard as well. I am grateful that he was the neurosurgeon who operated on my family member, and would highly recommend him to others.

My daughter was born with a tethered spinal cord. Dr. V was so helpful from the beginning and he performed spinal surgery on my daughter at 10 months old. He took the time to answer all of our questions and explain the surgery and potential outcomes. After surgery he checked in on her in PICU and in recovery. He explained and even drew pictures of what he did to her spine. I am so thankful for his work and his caring demeanor. I couldn’t be happier with the outcomes and life he has helped my daughter with.

Dr. Vadivelu Performed Brain surgery on my 7 yr old son..... after surgery he kept watch over my son for 51 days in the hospital. We were well taken care of... I thank God for this dr everytime I look at my son which is EVERYDAY.

I was 17, senior year, when I found out I had a brain tumor and would need 1, maybe 2 surgeries to get it removed. The first surgery went amazingly smooth, no complications, he explained everything very well and took his time, I believe that surgery was 11-12 hours. Everytime he walked in my room, he was ALWAYS smiling and always gave complete explanations. The second surgery severely effected my left side. Initially, I wanted to blame him, however he did tell me before the surgery this one was far more complicated because it was now in my brain stem. I could tell he was generally upset, from then on ANYTHING I needed or wanted to hear on why it happened, he never hesitated to come to my room. He worked with me to get back to where I am now, and almost a year later he is still very encouraging and helpful! I couldn't of asked for a better surgeon.

When your otherwise healthy pre-teen child is suddenly diagnosed with a brain tumor and needs 10+ hours of complicated surgery to remove it, Dr Vadivelu is the one you want on your side. He struck the perfect balance of confidence and professionalism throughout our ordeal. He educated us on the process and the risks. He made us feel comfortable with our decision to proceed with surgery. We are eternally thankful to Dr. Vadivelu and his amazing team for the healthy, happy teenager who brightens our house today. We once naively thought pediadic brain cancer was a death sentence. But now we have learned it doesn't have to be when catch a break with the diagnosis, and you have talented doctors like Dr Vadivelu to guide you through the process.

Dr. V is an amazing surgeon and a fine person. He has a very patient and caring manner and spends a lot of time answering questions and making sure that everyone is comfortable. He performed a complicated spinal surgery on my daughter when she was only 7 months old that was a complete success. We cannot express enough gratitude and admiration for this amazing man.
