I am a 80 year old women and became a patient of Dr. Gogia two years ago having been under doctors care for at least 15 years with the same complaint. He listened patiently and immediately started me on medications for UC which continued to fail to solve the problem. He continued a very thorough analysis of my medical file and studied all the tests that I had had done in the past. Following that review he then suggested that If I thought I could tolerate a colonoscopy, it had been sometime since I had one done by someone else, along with other tests, he wanted to complete one. That said and done he was pleased to tell me I didn’t have cancer which was good news, right? The bad news was that I had Crohns Disease and that there is not a cure. But having a definitive diagnoses for Crohns which can be treated, I can start treatments right away and possible have a much needed improvement in my health. Went to visit Dr. Gogia due to my inability to eat without pain. I was nervous at first because as a patient you always think the worst and hope for the best. Dr. Gogia took the time to explain to me how the organs in our body works and within just minutes of describing my symptoms he knew what it was. Instead of most doctors ordering tons of test he ordered one test to confirm the diagnosis and was right on par. Set me up with a surgeon and back to normal. After surgery he was very concerned with how I was feeling and if symptoms improved. It's nice to still have doctors who know what they are doing and don't need to order excessive tests that end up costing so much. Thank you Dr. Gogia.

Dr. Gogia was very thorough in my consult taking time to reassure me on the procedures process and possible outcomes. I felt at ease to take my time in asking any questions and he didn't rush in his answers or try to leave to attend to his other patients. I have previously been to other GI doctors and had no relief; furthermore, not fully comprehending my diagnosis. Dr. Gogia took the time to explain my diagnosis in detail and even drew pictures since he asked how I learned best. I can actually say I feel hope in my future because he reread all of my previous notes and tests by prior physicians to assure he wasn't missing any detail. He was attentive prior to the procedure making sure my prepatory work was completed appropriately and held a positive attitude. I will definitely recommend him to anyone needing a GI doctor. I highly recommend him and there is no other doctor for me that could ever compare. He has saved my life by making me feel a since of normalcy that I had long… forgotten.
