Dr. Sudhir Alampur, MD

The procedure they have set up to make an appointment is very bad. Calling and leaving a message for someone to call back is not working. I have called 3 times and have not received a call yet. Appointments should be important to the doctor and these should be made by being able to talk to someone or have someone that cares enough to call the patient back. If patient is trying to make an appointment that means they are having issues. This needs to be improved greatly because it is not working. Nothing is more frustrating than to wait on someone to return your call after leaving 3 messages.

It's a pity no one answers the phone, or returns calls

I really like Dr Alampur and his staff. He is easy to talk to and has a good bedside manner. He is VERY busy. Patients wait for hours in a very crowded not very comfortable waiting room. It is difficult to speak with someone to make an appointment. You have to leave a message. I understand he has a very busy practice, makes rounds at the hospital and does surgery. It’s just difficult to wait for hours, when you work and are taking off for a doctors appointment that takes 1/2 the day. Is it worth it? Well... yes I think so but it doesn’t make the wait much easier.

I’ve seen him twice. He went right into getting me tested and trying to set up a colonoscopy. He listens to your worries and reassures and makes you feel better about what your going through. Only my second visit but I really like him so far. His nurses are really kind and caring as well.

I won't go to another Gastro Dr. unless he is retired

One procedure done in St. Mary Hospital. Two office visits. One before procedure and one after. Pleased every time.
