I’ve been dr Gokhale patient for 22 years. He is responsive and thorough in every aspect of patient care. Your problems are addressed in the most professional and personal way. He is soft spoken and gentle and makes you feel like you and your mental health are his top priority; and it truly is. Terrible psychiatrist. Saw him for many years. He gave up on me. He told me and my family that I could not be helped by medications. He never took any notes when I went to see him. He gave 16. Etc (shock treatments) before I quit him. I then went to a very good psychiatrist at Rush hospital. He took notes on every session we had. He does not believe in shock treatments.

Dr. Gokhale is too busy to see his clients..you may start out w/ him but then presented to the nurse practitioner. That's fine but when that faulters..dr. gokhale in his authority can fix problems but to get an appt. W/ him to solve issues..its takes months to be seen by him. Leaving that client w/ no medications until the appt. w/ him. It's sad. He either needs to work longer being so successful or stop taking on clients. He is drowning w/ clients and sadly let some of his clients drown w/o him and w/o their timely medications.

I have Bipolar Disorder and go to Dr. Gokhale on a regular basis for medication management, more often if needed. Right from the start, he has always been kind, compassionate, empathetic, extremely knowledgeable, has given me excellent treatment and has always been perfectly willing to listen to me and take my wants into consideration. He works with me and does so very well. I feel extremely lucky to have him as my doctor.

I saw Paul nurse practitioner at dr.gokhales office today. I was on the verge of suicide. Despite that Paul insulted me, belittled me & criticized me. All while I was crying hysterically. Paul you helped me make my decision. My book is on your hands paul. I'm sure you will still sleep like a baby tonight. Good riddens!

I SEEN THIS DOC FOR MANY YEARS. I think he is burnt out. Does not care like he use to. He raised my antidepressent and it put me in a manic phase. He should of been aware of this. He knew I was bi polor

My son has seen Dr. for 13 years. He has always been open to a parent\'s concerns. I like him as a person too. The wait times in the waiting area can ...

He is a kind and caring person. I truly do like him. The wait in his office can often be very long. It is not necessary for office staff to announce out loud in the waiting area how much the balance on your account is. There such a thing as privacy. I blame the staff, not him though.

I first met this doctor when my husband was hospitalized years ago. I was struck by how perceptive and articulate he is. My teenage daughter is now seeing him and finds him "totally amazing." He is kindly and charismatic. There is always a wait, but he is worth it. A true healer.
