Dr. Sue Ann Schemel, MD

Went to Tully center having problems with my foot, i was approximately 10 weeks post op. She sends in a pa who looked and asked questions of a cholds level. Had an exray done and waited for her highness to see me. The attitude on this lady sucked. She told me my xray was consistent with my other xray i asked what other xray??? She then said i should buy some crutches, she really did!! Like i had foot surgery, pay attention lady. Of course i have crutches. She was so passive and showed a too bad for you attitude. That i got up and hobbled out. Stay away from this one. Terrible, and to think i went there for advice and help. Tully billed my insurance over $1300.00 . Ill fight this.

This doctor was in the ER at the Tully Center. I was very sick and scared and she made me feel even worse. Rude, uncaring and should not be a doctor. Makes her patients feel worse.

I went to the emergency room in Aug at NDH needing stiches on my face and inside my mouth for a total of 17 stiches. Dr Schemel did an excellent job leaving almost no scar. It healed in a great way and I was relatively pain free. She removed the stiches also and it healed without any infections. I would select her to work on me if I have a choice.

Dr Schemel was working at Northern Dutchess ER when I saw her. I had gone in for a suspected broken foot, which turned out to just be a contusion. Dr. Schemel was extremely dismissive- acting as if the issues I was having with the injury were not valid or acceptable. She rolled her eyes while answering a question I had asked, and then without warning, abruptly left the room mid-sentence when someone had called her name. She never returned, never gave any instructions, and never asked me if I had any further questions. The emergency room office staff and nurses were wonderful and very nice, although I would never want to land in a real emergency and have this terrible doctor. The lack of professionalism and caring was actually disturbing.
