Dr. Sufian Mohammad Agwani, MD

Dr.Agwani was my psychiatrist for about 3 years. He doesn't listen to his pateints at. all. He only lets you say "yes" or "no" during sessions. Has minimal follow-up. While being managed by him he kept me on one medication for a long time and just kept increasing the dose even though I told him it wasn't working. I attempted suicide on that medication and told my social worker I didn't want to see him anymore. I ended up having to continue seeing him while they found me a different psychiatrist. He actually confronted me about it which made me extremely uncomfortable. He recommended me benadryl to control my anxiety while I was having a terrible reaction to a medication. I ended up getting addicted to bendaryl and using it daily. I got a different psychiatrist and they told me that should never be used for what was essentially sedation. He never listened to my concerns and disregarded almost everything I said. Would not recommend.

If I could give a zero star I would. He was already upset when we got to our appointment and made us feel like it was our fault we didn't do the right thing when it was his staff who missed booked the appointment. We felt like he was imposing, pressuring and rushing our appointment. Totally uncaring and very condescending. His demeanor is unprofessional.

I felt very uncomfortable with Dr. Agwani as a female. He more or less said I should go to another facility a racist innuendo. I would never recommend him.
