Dr. Suhail Kumar, MD

Took time to listen to my complicated medical history and review the pile of past lab testing I provided. My issues do not have a clear easy diagnosis, but Dr. Kumar certainly gives me confidence he will do his best to piece together the puzzle as much as possible and work with me to optimize my quality of life with the current treatment options available. I had given up on bothering to go to a Rheumatologist and certainly don't run to my regular primary care doctor for every little thing - accepting my low quality of life and the advice of a past doctor to just "live my life" since medical science has no answers. Dr. Kumar actually asked me what my goals for treatment were and was not dismissive of my symptoms or concerns - or even, dare I say - hope for a better quality of life. He has given me a great deal of confidence in his professional abilities after one new patient visit - and that is not achieved easily with a patient like myself who had given up hope.

I have been to several internists and rheumatologist and Dr. Kumar was the first Dr that paid attention and listened to me without being judgmental or making me feel like I was crazy, easy to reach and talk to , I am finally getting answers to issues I have been dealing with for the past 5+ years.

Dr. Kumar does not respects his patients' opinions and fears. My disease and his office do not exist in a bubble.

I have seen Dr. Kumar twice. I have widespread chronic pain. He ran a huge amount of blood tests with none showing any definite diagnosis. He said he thought it "could" be fibromyalgia but didn't pursue any tests for confirm it. He also did not suggest any ways to improve the symptoms. Only said to come back in 6 months. I feel he didn't really complete his evaluation of my symptoms.

Wonderful experience! The secretaries are the best. They explain everything to you, and trest you like family. I will stay a patient just because of how I'm treated and the service I get from the girls scheduling everything!
