Dr. Suhasini Macha, MD

Dr. Macha wasn’t very responsive when we reached out to her, it took multiple calls to get a call back. The last straw for us (which turned out to be a HUGE blessing in disguise) was after seeing my son for months, being very sick and MISDIAGNOSING him, she didn’t return our calls after hours or have any associates available to do so. What physician, let alone specialist doesn’t have any type of answering service or support for their patients after hours? The reason I say it was a blessing in disguise is because we ended up taking our son to Royal Oak Beaumont Children’s hospital, where the physicians were much more caring and knowledgeable. They were able to look outside the box of Dr. Macha’s lazy, catch all MISdiagnosis of “constipation” and help our son. They were able to figure out the root of the problem in less than a week after she had been treating him for entirely the wrong thing for MONTHS! My only regret is that we didn’t go elsewhere sooner when her only advise was “Give… him more Miralax” for months. I do however, HIGHLY recommend Beaumont Children’s hospital. All of the doctors and specialists that treated my son there were incredible caring and helpful.

It is difficult to get in with any pediatric gastroenterologist in the state of Michigan. Not enough doctors, too many children needing help. I would wait forever for Dr. Macha, however. I have NEVER met a more caring doctor or a better diagnostician. She's performed numerous procedures on my daughter and they were all done perfectly. She seeks us out with a phone call when there is something we need to know - never had another doctor do that. Don't be dismayed if you have to wait in the office for your appointment. That is due to overscheduling and is beyond her control. Love this doctor!
