Dr. Sujana Chaparala, MD

I came in with some serious concerns about myself and she took me as a joke. I told her I think i had 2 mini strokes because all the symptoms were there. She straight out laughs at me and said no. To young and dismissed it. After they happened I've been having severe pain in my head. She told me it's just migraines. Never gave me anything for the pain. So many other problems i was trying to tell her and her and her answers were just ridiculous...i walked out. I felt like i was taken as a joke and she just wanted me there more than once just for the money. Well she lost a paitent. Would not recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Chaparala does not listen to me when I try to discuss any concerns. I once came in with a concern that I may have been exposed to an STD due to a partner's infidelity and she asked me for more details repeatedly because she needed to know that there was just cause for the test. Additionally, she is aware that I take anti-depressant medication once replied to a concern I voiced with: "I think that you are convinced that there is something wrong with your body and there is nothing wrong with your body. I think you are under-counseled." I would not recommend her for anyone who wants to feel heard and taken care of. AND, I shared with her that I smoked a cigarette ONCE and noted that "smoking cessation" was included on my list of medical claims made by her.

Dr Chaparala lectures patients. She does not engage in conversation and has her own agenda. Does not listen to her patients Very concerned about billing for services.

I get the feeling she needs to get me out of there. Her staff is very business like and but not efficient. Hard to get my medication refilled, they don't follow through with test results and if you need to speak to her she might call back 2 or 3 days later.

all about money I think. i came in with pain on my shoulder and hip and she said to me that she would only address one symptom per visit. either address hip or shoulder and for me to make the choice on what I want treated. and to make another appointment to address any other pain I'm experiencing. I was appalled. I wish I had my phone with me to record the conversation. unbelievable.

They often forget that patients are waiting in the waiting room. This office doesn't listen to the needs of the patient at all, they just try to get you out as soon as possible. If you're looking for a PCP look somewhere else

GREAT DOCTOR!!!!

After having Dr. C as my GP for over 2 years i was appalled to realize that she would never review charts before entering the room. She repeated gave me lifestyle advice for a clearly genetic condition (moderate cholesterol in an active, early 20's individual). Instead, she lectured me on how busy she was and that "i could just find another doctor". Her staff, aside from one person in her office, were always discourteous and clearly too busy to be helpful. If you chose her as your GP be prepared to wait behind at least 3 geriatric and slow individuals for your check up, and not get the personalized attention that is the only reason a GP would be useful in the first place.

I was 29 at the time and scheduled a last minute appointment with Dr Chaparala for a massive headache I was experiencing. She was available, caring and very thorough in her attempt to diagnose my symptoms. If it was not for Dr Chaparala, I could have easily been sent home ; instead she suggessted I go to the ER. It was then that I found out I had had a cerebral stroke ( at 29 yrs old; unbelievable). I have to say I owe my life to this her for her knowlege and quick thinking. I highly recommend Dr Chaparala to anyone.
