Dr. Sujani Ganga Surakanti, MD

I have used Dr. Surakanti for 3 years. I would recommend her highly. Explains everything. You can ask questions. She does not dismiss you or make you feel like your concerns have no value. I have never been disappointed by her actions after an appointment. There should be more Doctor's like her.

It's been almost 4 years since my husband passed away and even thou I know he did all he could, I don't feel the same way about Dr. Surakanti . I felt she had no bedside manner or compassion. She was treating my husband and a cancer she was not well experienced in and when it comes to life and death you can't take any chances!! She had no compassion for what my husband or myself was going through, she would give us devastating information about his health at the most inappropriate moments ( for example my husband and I went out to dinner to celebrate his birthday and she called to tell me that at that point she felt his cancer was in curable and he had six months to live, she never bothered to ask if it was okay to talk at that moment she just blurted it out like she was giving me her supermarket list, and that was the last birthday my husband ever had and what she did was so insensitive). That is just one example to name a few! She left them in pain and did not care that we… would have to travel hours to the city to come see her, he would exit to call in prescriptions to the pharmacy and refused and insisted we needed to travel two hours into Manhattan to see her, her knowing how debilitating my husband's cancer was and how he was suffering she had no compassion at all! Again this was four years ago but in my mind can passion cannot be learned you have to have it, so my opinion of her will never change! We trusted home and got incompetence and his medical treatment and as a dying cancer patient!!!!
