Dr. Sukamal Saha, MD

Dr. Saha was my brother's surgeon for colon/rectal cancer. I was with my brother for surgery..hospital stays..and all followup visits. I was shocked during our first followup when Dr. Saha told us that if we didnt bring the supplies that the hospital sent him home with he would refuse to see us next time. My brother's surgery sight has just recently healed and that's 9 months after surgery. Dr. Saha lacks compassion as far as I'm concerned. He needs to realize that not everyone has faced cancer and that a little kindness goes a long way.

I have received care from Dr. Saha. He was my colon cancer surgeon. He helped me every step of the way. He was very caring and passionate about the person. I wasn't just another case, I was a person and he showed compassion. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Saha is a medical doctor/surgeon who saved my life. I was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma and liver hemangioma. He spent time with me, explaining everything he thought was best. He even encouraged me to obtain a second opinion. Besides his knowlege and expertise Dr. Saha is very kind hearted and has a way of making you feel as if you are his number one concern. Dr Saha encourages total treatment (mind, body) including nutrition..... I cannot say enough good about this doctor. I will forever be grateful to Dr Saha for the care I received from him, as well as his staff. Anyone needing a brilliant surgeon should never hesitate making an appointment. L L F

My mother is the patient and it was my moms choice for me (daughter) not to be involved. When my mom was admitted to he hospital. Doctor Saha said “I have been helping you mom for 2 months and so have her friends, you were not around.” Which I took as “we have been helping where have you been?” I stated “ it is her choice for me not to be involved, not mine, she pushed me away”. Why did he have to bring this up? I already feel bad that I can’t help because I am being pushed away.

I will NEVER go back to Dr. Saha again! I waited 2 - 3 hours for every one of my 'scheduled' appointments then his Staff takes care of ALMOST everything. Once he comes in to the examination room, he spends less than 5 minutes with you. He doesn't listen to his patients at all. I told him and told him my breast was extremely hot to the touch, through my clothes and was EXTREMELY painful. He didn't listen to me at all; until 6 months later. My Breast continued to be so painful and just kept getting hotter and hotter, then the middle of my incision, which had never completely healed - BURST open in the middle of the night. There was a hole in my Breast - I could literally see in to my body! Infection started to DRAIN from my Breast, first it was the consistency of corn syrup, then huge 'glops' starting coming to the hole - I had to use Q-Tips to get those out, and I had NEVER spelled any thing so foul in all my life. The Infection had been increasing and increasing since my original… surgery. He did apologize and addressed me by my name for the first time in the year + I had been seeing him. Another three months were spent trying to clear up the Infection until finally I had to have a SECOND SURGERY. He IS NOT a good doctor OR surgeon!

Dr Saha treated me first for lymphoma and then colon cancer. He is very well informed and encourages his patients to be also. He is open to you seeking a second opinion also. I do not agree with the previous comments that he preys on the elderly as I am 81 and I never felt that way. There may be a wait but he is well worth it! I am alive because of him and his knowledge.

Dr. Saha and his staff have been like family to me and my husband since my husband was diagnosed. They are the most wonderful people!!! We are very blessed to have been taken care of by them. When my husband passed away they were all there for me. When I was diagnosed they took care of me as though I was family. Love them all so very much!!!

Dr. Saha found my cancer when three other doctors said surgery was not necessary. He oversaw my husband's stage 4 cancer and found a surgeon that he thought had more expertise than he did. He is extremely thorough and never gave us advice without giving us copies of the research he used to come to his conclusion - he wants his patients to be as informed as he is. I have been a patient for over 5 years and I still receive telephone calls personally from the doctor checking on me. He was in constant communication with the doctors treating my husband out of state. Dr. Saha is not in this field for profit - it is a mission / passion for him. I would not trust a loved one with anyone else - he fights for his patients - they are his only priority.

my experecne was no thatgood i felt like he didnt care about his pations when i called about a bad reaction on the med took them 2 weeks to call me back my last appointment i guess i was surpose to pick up the test he ordered which i never had to do that befor then i tell the receptionest i dont know where that place you sent me to she said that place you got the test done im not from flint so i had to ask her again whats the address she just looked at me like i was stupid pluss who goes to the dr at 700pm in flint not me but seems thats all he has
