Dr. Suman Kambhampati, MD

I first met Dr. Kambhampati after being admitted to the blood cancer ward at Research Medical Center in Kansas City. He turned out to be the most knowledgable and compassionate doctor that I have ever had. The results of the chemo went exactly as he predicted with virtually no side affects. But the most outstanding thing about this doctor is the time he will spend with you and the understanding that he has shown in a very difficult period of my life. You truly are a human being and not just a piece of meat or a number. As a 73 year old male, I am moved to tears just thinking about Dr. K as he is affectionately called. He was a bright beacon of light during my 5 week hospital stay. And as for the follow up appointments, I just can’t say enough either.

My wife and I had originally thought we were extremely fortunate with Dr. Kambhampati's role. We soon learned that not only did his other patients but his staff, and especially the chemo nursing team, held him in the same high regard. His abilities call on an intuitive genius through my more than two years of treatment. While clearly understanding the incurable nastiness of Multiple/Myeloma and Amyloidosis, the doctor has made me comfortale that he'll be drawing upon his sme level of practice as I've received in the past. He has extended my life.
