Dr. Sumeet Bhatia, MBBS, MD

Still new. So far, I’m TOTALLY unimpressed. I hope it gets better. My cancer is neither his “area of expertise” nor his “special interest.” He likes video calls, it seems. I got a second opinion at another cancer center. Liked her MUCH better but just too far to travel. We’ll see how long we can stick with him.

I was so impress with Dr. Bhatia and his staff. They immediately made me feel comfortable for a very scary appointment. I would highly recommend the Community Cancer Center North.

My father has been a patient of Dr. Bhatias for 4 years. Dr. Bhatia is extremely knowledgeable and still, he consults other physicians to make sure his patients get the best treatment. He is kind and always eager to consider my fathers questions and concerns, along with family concerns. He and all staff at Community North Cancer Center are an invaluable asset to my fathers life.

We have seen Dr Bhatia for over a year now. Our first time meeting him, we were not impressed with his bedside manners. Over the year it has gotten worse. He doesn't belong working with patients. He can work with test tubes in the lab. That would fit him perfectly.

When he told me I had a rare non hodgkin's lymphoma and it was very aggressive it was very hard not to laugh ,he was very serious but his accent was really a plus,love this guy and the rest of the people at Community North. From the cancer center to the nurses I'm the hospital you can not ask for more.. Very professional staff,nurses and having him it is a perfect scenario to win the battle. Today 3 months into remission but for whatever time I got left they are my family. Thank you

He is so fantastic he has a great sense of humor which is great for oncologist we appreciate you Dr. Bahatia! Everyone like his right hand gal Lori and all the staff at the community north cancer center are Awesome!

Dr Bhatia is one of the most caring, compassionate , and intelligent doctors I have seen or met. Wonderful bedside manner!!!!

Treated my mother for melanoma (stage 3). She was likely stage 4 all along, but we will never know because he did NO follow-up scans during her stage 3 treatment. 2 months after another doctor discovered she was stage 4, she passed away. I agree with an earlier reviewer. No compassion. Likely too heavy of a case load. No time spent with the patient. Excessive wait time for scheduled appointments. He is very reactive vs. proactive. I know at least 3 others who visit this doctor, all with similar views as mine. On the other hand, the nurses at this cancer center are all very nice and caring with their patients.

If you ever get the dread diagnosis of the "c word." Make sure you get this doctor's opinion before proceeding. Exceedingly competent, kind, humorous, and with excellent bedside manner.
