Dr. Sumir Kumar Bhateja, MD

My time spent with Dr. Sumir Bhateja was brief, but it was an odd experience indeed. After the initial questioning, from an R.N., about my clinic visit, Dr. Sumir arrived after what seemed like 30-45 minutes. The 2 questions I had for him, first and foremost, were, "Do you have your credentials on your person or on site?" He said he "thought" they had them "up front." The second was, "Can you do the blood draw/ CBC on site?" "Yes", he said. I had swollen hands and feet, with a phlegm producing cough, no fever...98.3 before I went in. He said my CBC showed normal, WBC was in normal range (not fighting infection), my RBC seemed low, but he dismissed it. He prescribed "Amoxil", an anti-biotic, yet my CBC was normal??? Later that evening, and 2 days later I am more sick than when I went in. WTH? I asked the site manager to see if she could produce his credentials, since none were on the wall, and SHE could only produce some web search printout. I looked into it and St. Mary's has… conflicting info on his "Foreign College" of education, plus the Registrar at one of the two listed has a "gmail.com" address, NOT ".edu" Shady...

Received excellent care from this doctor. Highly recommend

I would strongly recommend this physician to any one without any reservations. Wonderful personality.
