Dr. Sumit Anand, MD

Very dogmatic and single minded in his approach. Does not take patients circumstances into account. Does not seem to have knowledge of latest medicines. Would not recommend.

I think Dr. Anand is a highly intelligent doctor is probably great at diagnosing people and seems to have a lot of great experience, but we weren't a good fit. My first appointment went well enough. I scheduled my 2nd appointment at the office for 3 weeks after the 1st, and was given enough meds to last that long. I showed up to my second appointment and they said I wasn't scheduled for another week. But...what was the plan for the meds for that final week then? Anyway, I scheduled another appointment at the office that day and asked for them to extend my prescription for another week until my next appointment. They tell me to send in an email. So I do. And Dr. Anand tells me I don't have another appointment scheduled? Ultimately I decided to go someplace else after I got an email that told me not to worry so much about missing doses for a new prescription drug, and chastised me because prescriptions are only given out after an appointment...which they stood me up for once, and then… didn't schedule a second time. I'm sure he's a good man, but I think he and his staff are still working out the kinks. Or perhaps they just have too many patients right now and are having trouble handling the volume.

This man is a narcissistic psychopath who takes advantage of his patience and miss diagnosis them. Over medicating me lead to vary bad side effects.

Dr. Anand was the only doctor able to help me manage my bipolar 2 mood disorder. After ten years of incompetent doctors and inaccurate prescriptions, I became so disgusted and exhausted that I stopped all doctors and medicines cold turkey for seven years and SUFFERED! So much for mental help! The bipolar 2 raged and ruined my life. Finally, out of desperation, I randomly called Dr. Anand and instantly knew he could help. And he did! I'm extremely sensitive to medicines and needed an outside the box, non-text book remedy and he found it for me. Quickly! I can't stress enough how smart, experienced, and competent Dr. Anand is. I read a review where one teenage patient felt bullied and although I disagree, I can understand the comment because my teenage son also saw Dr. Anand and didn't prefer him! A serious, concerned, doctor with high expectations is not a bully! When working with Dr. Anand, he is there to find a solution and believes you are too. Like any doctor, you have… to decide to trust him and do what he says, and it's the rare teenager nowadays that will yield his pride and respond to firm direction with, "Yes Sir"! Teenagers tend to think they "know" better. Mine actually consulted Dr. Google and declared Dr. Anand was wrong! At that point, Dr. Anand had practiced medicine longer than my son was alive! But it didn't matter to his teenage mind. Coincidentally, I was bullied once by a doctor wannabe, (a total joke) and Dr. Anand is not a bully, he's the real deal. Personally, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Dr. Anand, have easily connected with him, and we laugh often! He answers my questions and I never leave confused but with a solid plan for the next 30 days. If something is wrong, he calls me back immediately. So if you're sick of being sick like I was, are ready to get to work, get to the bottom of what's wrong, and are willing to partner with a highly qualified psychiatrist who genuinely cares, I highly recommend Dr. Anand. Please don't waste 17 years of your life like I did! It's not necessary.

Dr. Anand is a jerk! He bullies adolescent children patients. He should be fired and banned from practicing psychiatry in The United States

This psychiatrist is one of the best in his field. He is intelligent and highly persceptive. He can hear and see what you may not be telling him. Just amazing! He spends a lot of time obtaining information from the patiend and listens well. He is open to change and working with the patient's goals. Unlike many other psychiatrists, he likes to talk and listen.
