Dr. Sumit Kumar Das, MD

Stay away from this jerk, he is incompetent. He was talking about his new car with his nurse and not paying attention as he injected me in the neck with a cortisone shot and hit my nerve and made my neck numb.

Dr. Das is extremely compassionate. Always asks how I am doing during my Injection and tells me what he’s going to do before he performs anything on me. The staff are so nice, educated and informative, they answer all my questions with kindness and knowledge. Great team of experts! ??

Dr. Das is very pleasant and explains things very well. His nurse practitioner, Mohini, is also very pleasant and knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable at BSNI and all of my questions are also answered.

After having over a year of failed injections he found an injection that works great for me. The office has a great response time and are always kind.

Dr. Das barely answered my questions before my procedure, giving noncomittal and vague responses. He claimed my MRI showed "mild" issues despite my being in severe pain. After every question he hurried me to shut up and begin my epidural cervical injections. He was in a hurry the entire time and I had to ask my other questions while the procedure was being performed, then had my concerns blown off as all being part of another disease I have, even though another specialist since said otherwise. I've been in bad pain and dealing with side effects since these injections and he apparently couldn't care less. My initial consultation was done by a student and an assistant who came in after the student left. So I wasn't even initially evaluated by an actual licensed professional. In fact, I didn't meet Dr. Das until the day of my procedure. After I called and left messages for two days after the procedure, I received a message from an assistant that never saw me who said take ibuprofen.… I had already said in my messages I didn't want narcotics but that my prescription medication and ibuprofen wasn't helping. Nonetheless, I felt like I was being blown off as a drug seeker. I wasn't given any aftercare instructions or advice on what to expect. The after hours answering service people are rude, and I never got a call from Dr. Das. I have random numbness in my neck and face, and I'm in worse pain than before. I'm seeking care elsewhere and I don't recommend this practice or Dr. Das at all.

While Dr. Das didn't have the warmest attitude ever and the appointment felt a bit rushed, I have to say this is the best practice I've been to so far. The girl at the reception desk and the PA who saw me first (Brittany) were so nice and helpful, Brittany diagnosed my pain and scheduled me for an injection the next week! The injection took only ten minutes and my pain has been almost gone since. I would highly recommend coming here!!
