Dr. Sumit Sawhney, MD

Don't believe any good reviews you read. I was referred to Dr.Sawhney by Northwest Medical because he couldn't make it to the hospital to see me and they didn't want me to have to spend another night waiting for him. So right off the bate not a good impression. I had a hard time making an appointment to see him the same week I got released from the hospital. His staff is rude and extremely unorganized. They make fallow up appointment for you and don't tell you. They are rude when they call to say you missed your apt when you didn't even know you had one. I have waited over an hour almost every apt and Dr.Sawhney is only in the room for maybe 5 minutes. Highly recommend going somewhere else.

My daughter has been sick for 14 years. We have seen a good number of hematologists during the years. Dr. Sawhney took care of my daughter while hospitalized and if you ever need a good hematologist he is one of the best if not the best in South Florida, you must trust me, I know! He is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, he listens to the patient and reviews all options with the patient. I'm very grateful for Dr. Sawhney and the great care he provided to my daughter.

He is both professional and thorough. He is also very kind and caring. He has also been very helpful to me with other issues when I wasn't sure how to handle them. He referred me to other specialists when I needed them as well as sending to my family physical.
