Dr. Sumita Chandran, MD

I have been going to Dr. Chandran for about a year and I love her. She answers any questions and is very pleasant.I see several Dr.s and she is my favorite

Very friendly and efficient doctor. Front desk when you walk in could be more friendly. We almost feel like a bother to her. The rest of the staff and doctor is outstanding. I needed an urgent referral for a possible clot. Very prompt and efficient.

Dr Chandran was rude and told me to get another PCP. Why? Because I took my mask down while I was alone in the exam room!! Said I was rude and didn’t care about her. Front office are very rude and had to constantly call for referrals to be done. My Other Doctors office called for referral and Dr Chandras office yelled and called her a liar about sending requests for referral. Then continued to tell her “you just don’t want to deal with this patient”! My Other Doctors office told them “Because I care I’m calling you for this every month”. Well she had to get her manager involved because it escalated. Unprofessional with no empathy for patients. I was so stressed from the Doctor telling me to leave that within a few days I ended in hospital with a hart attack!!!

Front office lacks people skills. My referrals are always late or have to keep calling them every month. The COVID-19 was taken over the top! Waiting outside for temp check, mask on at ALL times and must use sanitizer at walk in! Really?! We passed the pandemic stage! Very rude office with phone etiquette. I have been to many many doctors over my years never like this office.

My elderly parents love Dr Chandran. She has bent over backwards to find help for my dad. The reason for a one star is to try and get through to the office manager or owner of this place. The referral nurse Kathy, actually yelled at my mother today. Kthyvsaid she had faxed a referral to another office and the office didn't receive it. My mom called twice asking her to please re-fax the referral because they wouldn't make the appointment. Kathy told her no. She would not fax again. She said mom would have to come pick up the paperwork and hand deliver it to the other office. Mom then called the ortho office and they said she is not allowed to do that because of covid 19 and it must be refaxed. A third call to Kathy netted another refusal and very rude yelling at my elderly sweet mom. This is not professional. The front desk girls also are rude and unprofessional as well. They answer the phones and when asked to speak to a nurse or anyone else they respond with "you arent being… transferred unless you tell me what you want".. I'm not sure but I doubt their supervisor would be thrilled about any of this information. They think they can get away with treating Medicare patients like this because they are stuck or not going to report them. Well making my mom upset is a way to get my attention and I will not stop with this review. The rudeness needs to stop and Kathy needs to just do her job and try being kind.

Dr. Chandran to me , is a professional, but treats you like a friend that you can talk to. She has a wonderful personality and can laugh with you and she explains anything you need answers to. I just Love her!! The Staff is also humourous , but very knowledgeable and caring how you feel. They make you feel like family. Thanks for their services

Dr.Chandran has been my Doctor for a couple of years. She is frendly, helpful and very Intelligent. She is an excellent physician and I highly recommend her.

Originally went to this doctor because i had no insurance as I was recently laid off and going thru a rough time in my life financially. I had suffered from anxiety and depression, could not sleep, eat. Spoke to the doctor about anxiety and depression, Mentioned that I needed something for anxiety/depression, Dr wrote a script for aprazolam XR, with the instruction as taking one a day. When my refill was up. I called in to have it refilled. things were getting better. Doctor refused and stated her reasoning as "this drug has a street value" I was insulted, being a professional in the finance industry, having a family, a home. I was not a drug dealer, well I said fine, i'll try to go without. Well low in behold 2 weeks later my anxiety came back full force and I suffered a panic attack in which case i was sent to the ER, felt like i was having a heart attack and couldn't breathe. After I told the doctor's in the ER what i was prescribed to take a month ago, they mentioned that I… should change doctors so that I can get the care I need. oh and guess what the ER's doctors prescribed me to stop the panic attack ? alprazolam, only difference is I had to pay 500 dollars for this whole ordeal when it could of been avoided if Ms Chandran would've filled my prescription in the first place. Extremely unethical meantioning " Street Value for this Drug" insinuating that I was looking to sell this drug on the street.
