Dr. Sundararajan Venkatesh, MD

Absolutely the worst I have ever been treated and talked to by any dr! Talked down to me right after hello. Basically implied diabetes and high blood pressure Are my own doing and to bring it down. Without any explanation wanted to run several tests so he can see numbers, numbers he had in front of him sent over by my regular dr already. Here come my mistake …I dared to ask the good dr what kind of treatment we was doing here going forward. He flew off the handle and told me he didn’t like my attitude, I replied that I just wanted to know how he was going to help me and what the plan was. He told me he didn’t know yet until he sees numbers . That was it for me with this dr I got up and left. No patients should be treated like this by any dr nor talked to in this condescending way by their dr. Would not recommend and wouldn’t even given him a star minus be a better way of rating this person that calls himself a dr!

I went to this Doctor (Sundararajan Venkatesh) in 2009 the first time. He was new to the area and seemed like an over all good person. He told me that I need IV vit D and that I needed surgery on my Kidneys to help them get better. I told him I would like to go for a second opinion. I chose to go to Vanderbilt. The doctors there said NO NO you don't need anything like this. You do however need to lose weight and learn to take better care of your diabetes. Fast forward.. I had to come back to this doctor due to my insurance. The first thing as he walked into the room was O I See you are back and you need me to help you get better.. I was shocked I was stunned I was like what? I said NO SIR we all have choices to make when it comes to our health. I am here only because Cigna has given you as my Kidney doctor. You and I have a choice to let each other go as doctor and patient. You never have to take care of a patient you don't want to and I never have to stay with a doctor I do not feel I… can be safe with. You as a Patient need to think for yourself on what is important for your health. You only get one chance in life to have YOUR own Kidneys and keep them well. If you want to come to this Doctor then do and see for your self why the reviews are as they written. At this point I am looking for Cigna to help me find someone that I can trust with my Kidney Health. I also see why the doctor does not want me as a Patient. I went some other place that took the time to really look at my kidneys (I'm stage 4) and help me with keeping them longer and try to keep them healthy. So it's your choice on who you see and what you think.. This is just my feeling .. I wish you the very best in your quest to find what is BEST FOR YOU !!!

Worst experience with a specialist. Was rude when I asked why certain tests were being run; when I asked a question "we talked about this" I said "no, you talked, I processed and I am not happy." He said, "Well there is the door, you can walk out." Contradicted my primary physicians prescriptions but refused to suggest other. He said, "I don't write prescriptions." REFUSED to send me my medical records. Was told it was against the doctor's policy. I said not according to HPPA. They continued to argue with me. Called the corporate office, they wanted to send me to another of THEIR doctors. Said they knew someone who would fill my needs. I told them since they did not know ME then they certainly did not know my needs. DO NOT GO to this person who has a MD degree. He considers himself a god with all knowledge and does not take a patient who questions his methods.
