Dr. Sundeep Mangla, MD

Sundeep Mangla, M.D. is a Neurointerventional Radiologist and NeuroEndovascular Specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cerebrovascular diseases in the fields of Hemorrhagic and Ischemic stroke, Brain Aneurysms, Vascular Malformations, Brain Tumors, Spinal Vascular Disease, Ophthalmologic, and ENT Emergencies. He works closely with patient’s physicians and his highly experienced Neurovascular team to diagnose and treat each patient individually, personalizing medical, minimally invasive, and surgical approaches to enhance health and longevity for our patients.Dr. Mangla’s training and experience is extensive, and he has previously served as a Professor at SUNY Downstate Health Science Center in Brooklyn, Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx, and Columbia and Cornell Universities in New York (2000-2019), before joining the teams at Neurological Surgery PC, NYU-Long Island, and Mount-Sinai South Nassau Hospitals where he currently cares for patients. Dr. Mangla completed an …accelerated combined 6-year B.S./M.D. program at Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 1992, where he also remained to complete his residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 1997. He went on to pursue fellowships in Diagnostic Neuroradiology, Interventional Neuroradiology and Endovascular Neurosurgery, completing subspeciality clinical and academic training at the University of Southern California, the Yale University School of Medicine, and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from 1997-2000.Dr. Mangla is a dedicated clinician, researcher, and educator, having developed numerous techniques for diagnosis and treatment of life-altering cerebrovascular conditions. He has actively been involved in pioneering minimally invasive interventional therapies for the management of Ischemic Stroke, Brain Aneurysms and AVMs, as well as Ophthalmologic and ENT emergencies with an extensive record of publication and Clinical Trial investigations to improve patient care, function, and outcomes.
