Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:"Whenever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity" -Hippocrates. From an early age I wanted to pursue medicine as a career to be an advocate for people's health. During medical school, I volunteered to work in under-served areas and was interested in health education and preventive care .What I want my patients to know about me:I earned my MBBS degree from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. I completed one year of internship in Sudan then moved to the United States to do my residency. I finished my pediatrics residency at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where I also served as chief resident. I decided to have a career in General Pediatrics because I love working in the pediatrics primary care field and love continuity of care.
