Dr. Sung Sik Yang, MD

One thing I noticed his website has a giant photo of The Johns Hopkins Medical aSchool, where he studied, not where he got his MD. Odd how he advertises that... Dr. Yang’s 2019 fraud conviction raises red flags. I left a review and faced staff harassment. Avoid this doctor—care feels profit-driven, not patient-focused.

What more could one ask for while vacationing on the island than the sudden appearance of a red rash? Thankfully a nice native islander pointed me to Dr. Yang in Waikiki. He promptly prescribed me something that got rid of the nasty thing before our next luau.

Dr. Yang Waikiki is the most well educated and highly experienced health professional I have ever seen. He has studied the human body from the smallest details all the way to the overall structure. With this knowledge he can effectively treat you with a full view and in a way that returns you to health. I always feel confident in his presence that the right thing is being done!

I am a patient of Dr Yang since 2014. He is a great, USA Trained internal medicine physician. He provides comprehensive treatment without any unnecessary tests, imaging and referral to costly specialists. His office is conveniently located above longs waikiki. He is a private physician so you can go to his office by appointment and not have to wait in a clinic setting with endless waiting. I always refer my friends and family to Dr Yang. Also, he speaks fluent Korean if you need that.

My mother goes to Dr.Yang for her Type 2 diabetes which requires her to take insulin. She has been on insulin from previous PCP doctor in the mainland and had no issues. Dr. Yang decided to change her medicine to a pill form and told her to take the pill to lower her blood sugar but it has been going up to 200-300 blood sugar she also has been throwing up every time she would eat. She told Dr.yang about what was going up and how her blood sugar was going up and not down and how she was throwing up every time she was on the medication. He did not listen to the patient and just got angry at her and told her he's the doctor and gave her an attitude. LISTEN what kind of doctor does not listen to patients side effects. Obviously the medication does not suit her and he should be listening to the patient but he was persistent with just giving her this pill for diabetes medication instead of her insulin. SHE COULD HAVE ALMOST DIED with the high blood sugar she had. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS… DOCTOR he does not listen to patients, gets angry when questioned about symptoms, and is all about money and not treating patients. I would give him zero stars if I could.

I always look forward to seeing Dr. Yang & his staff because I know im going to get the best care possible! You can tell he loves being a doctor because he just jumps right into finding you the best options for your treatment. He gives you peace of mind knowing youre gona be well taken care of. I highly recomend him & his staff!

I am totally disappointed by the type of personal comments and suggestions given by the physician and his male nurses. I would encourage this doctor to better assist his customers by showing more common courtesy and understanding. "Because the way you perform your job is all that is required" here. I should also suggest that he use female nursing assistants to train the male counterparts on professionalism in Healthcare. Lastly and most importantly, cultural and racial differences in the U.S. are secondary to care and so Dr. Yang and his staff should realize this and act accordingly
