You tell this man what is hurting on your body, he tells what he think, not doing an mri or cat scan, and the only thing can help is steroid injection, no I have gotten plenty of them and not a one worked, but dr gera insist on giving you 6 injections a year, AND I MEAN ALL 6 BECAUSE THAT'S ALL THE INSURANCE WILL PAY FOR A YEAR, basically letting you know, this is a money thing and the only way I'm going to get paid is through injections, not writing prescriptions, THE WHOLE CONVERSATION WAS ABOUT INJECTIONS, AND THE PAIN MEDS IS THE LOWEST DOSE... I'm listening to the receptionist, trying to think it's not strange, but every appointment was about an injection... Im going to see how to blow the whistle on him... This is sickening...

I'm shocked by the reviews of Dr. Gera and his staff. I have been seeing Dr. Gera since 2005 with great success. My issues will always cause pain for me but with the help of Dr. Gera, I was able to work 2 additional years, my pain is under control and I am NOT taking a handful of medications. The joint injections, nerve blocks and nerve ablations have helped me tremendously! I realize that not everyone may be helped, there have been times when a procedure may last a very long time, up to a year and there are times it may only last a few months. I'll settle for a few months with less pain, it's to my advantage. Dr. Gera will be straight forward with you, which I like, but he has never been rude to me nor have any of his staff. He is a busy man and I can see where people may not understand the "in and out" on "procedure day" but that is what that day is scheduled for "procedures only", so yes, he does one procedure after another but not without checking your chart for your particular… procedure. I'm sorry some of you have not had the type of experience you desired but many of us are very thankful for the help we've been given. I have recommended Dr. Gera and his clinic in the past and will continue to recommend them in the future.

Even though many has written bad reviews, Dr Gera always gave me caring, companionate care. He discovered my osteopenia and managed to give me relief of my chronic back pain when others couldn’t. He has so many patients so that is why It appears that he is an assembly line but he sees 50 patients a day all the while doing procedure in the afternoon. I would recommend him to anyone. He has his culture and we should respect his just as we want him to respect ours.

Received a couple of blocks. Last one, I seem to be in more pain when I left. Felt like an assembly line. But all in all, his staff was very rude, especially one named Candice, and always made me feel uncomfortable in office. They would tell you, you could reschedule 48 hrs in advance, but when I did, this lady literally went off on me. Told the other staff, they defended her. That pretty much sealed my deal in not coming back. I get along with everyone. Tried to tell them last shot that I actually felt more pain when I left the office. It's like they can't hear anything but, are you coming in are we getting paid?

He is very rude does care about patients only your money. He does not take the time to fully explain to you your diagnoses or the procedure in dept. I am dealing with severe lower back pain I've seen him three times. And every time I went to him he managed to hurt my feelings. I am overweight which I know. He told me I need to loose twenty pounds in a month. Instead of explaining ways to safely do that he said to me you need to starve yourself. I was shocked the 1st time he said it but after the 3rd time I began searchng for another Dr. He over books his patients and doesnt have any reguard for your feelings. I would not suggest him. He is only good for passing out pain meds.

He is very rude. It's all about the money and he even has the GALL to tell you exactly that. Im looking for another dr. Please don't put yourself through the trauma of seeing this quack

This doctor is one of the rudest doctors I have seen. Doesn't care about patients. Would never recommend this so called doctor to anyone.

This doctor... Doesn't deserve the title of doctor. He had as many as ten to fifteen patients in his office at one time. He barely gave two minutes to each one either. He didn't ask or listen to me describe my symptoms and in fact made it a point to interrupt and talk over me. He marked down a diagnosis on one of my appointment sheets but never bothered to discuss it with me. Upon seeing it, I immediately researched since talking to him was an absolute was of time and I was terrified. My primary doctor helped me to understand better. He did several sets of several injections and basically told me I was lying when I said I wasn't over them in a day and accused me of being a drug addict for taking the pain medicine he prescribed, which didn't work by the way. They make these injections sound like a simple procedure and they say your recovery time shouldn't be more than a day. I was stuck in my bed for two weeks! I'm a single mom! Did he care? No! I had to have family stay with me to help… take care of my small child because I couldn't even get out of bed to fix a bowl of cereal! I tried telling his nurses this, to pass the message along to him. Guess what she said? Oh that's not possible, that never happens with these injections. I learned to never go alone to my office visits because he definitely took courses in bullying. The one time I went alone, I left in tears because he dismissed everything I said, told me I needed yet more injections, and accused me of being a drug addict a second time. He sent a report to my doctor, telling her that I was "obviously very angry and argued with him." When she asked me about that, I didn't even know what to say. At that point, I had barely said two words to him. What's the point? And then he sent her a letter saying I argued with him? I said one word the entire time I was in his office all day. "Okay." That is absolutely all I said to him. He didn't describe the nature of my injections. I couldn't ask questions. Wasn't allowed to ask questions. So after my last set of injections, I discovered he had done permanent nerve blocks. I discovered this AFTER he had done them because he didn't tell me a thing except to show up for more. Those injections were more painful than contractions, epidurals and dislocated bones combined. And as a result, I of course feel no better. I'm worse. Now I am finally going to see a neurologist I begged to see a year ago and I have high hopes for this visit. Please, have some care for yourself and do not go see this man. Do not do it. You will regret it and I can promise you it will not help you. There are other places to go. Do not let yourself be pushed around the way I did. This man will do absolutely no good and in fact will probably make your problems worse. If you do go see him, I beg you not to let yourself be pushed around like I did. Throw a fit, make him listen, make him explain, do something. But please please do your best to avoid this man. He is nothing but, like someone else, a money hungry cow herder.

I went to dr. Gera once and he treated me as if I were a dealer or abuser. One thing about me is I'm neither. Just a person having crohns. For 20+ years and over 18 surgeries. This meant nothing to him. It really is a shame that pain drs have to have such high alert for the bad ones. All the while people in pain pay for the bad ones. I would recommend not dr. Gera.

After years of cronic back pain, I can finally rest and get around like a normal person again. Dr. Gera, is a great DR. He doesn't have the greatest bedside manner like some has said. But he doesn't sugar coat anything, he tells it like it is. I will go to him with any pain or joint problems and trust him to do whats right.
