Dr. Sunil Singhal, MD

Dr. Sunil's office, as a matter of policy, routinely overcharges patients for services that they did not perform. They then use the abusive practice called "balance billing" to force patients to pay for the fraudulently charged services which were never provided. When patients don't pay, they ignore requests to review the fraudulent charges and send the bill to abusive debt collection agencies. I would never visit this doctor again in my life, and his practice should be investigated and sanctioned.

My son (just turned 18 recently) was admitted to HUP with a rare genetic disorder with multiple pneumothoraces the last 3 years. The hospital he was being treated in NJ was running out of treatment option after 3 lung surgeries. Son was transferred to HUP under the care of Dr. Singhal and his team. He was in the hospital for 4+ weeks (1st week in a different hospital) while Dr. Singhal tried hard to resolve the lung air leak issue. Dr. Singhal stayed on top of the case, and provided the best care to my son. Dr. Singhal remained calm and optimistic the entire time. He was very open, transparent of all the treatment options and provided pros and cons; we were extremely comfortable with his recommendations.
