Dr. Sunita Agarwal, MD

I found her very easy to talk to, her and I seemed to have clicked which had been really really hard for me in the past. She seemed to understand and empathized with my situation and unlike other dr’s prescribes what she feels you need no matter what it is, even when other dr won’t give certain meds because they have a bad reputation but can understand that these meds are sometimes needed reguardless. I was a little disappointed to find out she mainly handles the medication end and not the talking and counseling I feel that if I had her on a regular basis I would do better. She made me feel much better about myself, something else that’s been very rare these days. I see that she has some bad reviews and it surprised me I really like her.

Terrible. Been going there for years. No respect. Not only do they not follow COVID precautions, Dr. Sunita Agarwal is the most insufferable, unprofessional, despicable doctor I have ever had the displeasure to meet. I tried. I did. I went to see her four times. She talks over you, lectures you, talks down on you, and will be simply one of the most unpleasant, horrible individuals you will ever experience. She is an alien pretending to act human. And failing. Disgraceful. Simply a disgrace to the medical field.

Aggressive, contentious, quarrelsome, hostile; these are the kinder words I would use for this doctor. Sound judgment is absolutely necessary from a psychiatrist, especially for patients lacking experience with their mental health. This doctor is anything but sound, or calm, or controlled, and if you think her behavior is unhinged wait for her treatment recommendations. She relies on prejudiced, preconceived notions; she has no patience for your input, she will not research your case history, and she'll readily admit she diagnoses you by sight alone. If you naively follow her treatment advice, prepare to be improperly medicated at best. If you live alone and trust her adjustments to your medication, ensure you have family or friends whom you WILL call should your mental function change in any way. This is serious. Don't be the nightmare waiting to happen.

I could literally write a book detailing all the various ways Dr. Agarwal failed in her treatment of my son. The problems range from her referring my son to an endocrinologist TWICE after having told her that he was already seen by this doctor and the results were normal...yet two times in 5 weeks her office referred the specialist to call and set up appointments after being told not to since we already did that. Making appointments or re-scheduling is nearly impossible since they do not have voice mail nor do they answer their phones during normal working hours...I called 3 - 4 times day for 4 solid working days with no luck to change an appointment and finally only was able to get my appointment fixed by calling the hospital direct so they could contact her office for me. Upon our first outpatient appointment we were instructed to make an appointment for 3 months later and were assured that the medical information i gave them to setup my mail in prescription medication delivery… would be setup that day. 3 weeks later the information had not made it to the Rx company and i had to go thru the phone call battle again...and finally gave up and drove to her office in person to get it resolved. During that visit Dr. Agarwal herself came into the lobby and scolded me publically for not returning for a 6 week followup visit like she allegedly instructed AND that her office NEVER deals direct with mail in Rx companies so they never would have agreed to do it for me earlier. in the mean time...my son had 1 day of meds left and my insurance would not cover the meds to be purchased locally...I explained to her in the lobby in front of other patients how she came to the front desk with me on our first visit and told the lady at teh desk to setup a appoiuntment for 3 months later...which she did...and that there never was direction from her for a 6 week visit...she got very loud and was quite rude in telling me how I was wrong ....and so on. I paid the extra to get a months Rx locally and finally got help with the mail in RX while there. I was so dissatisfied i started to look for another Dr at that point and eventually found one. Last week I had to cancel my follow up appointment and it took nearly a week to get that done. I was literally on my way to her office with a cardboard note of cancellation to tape to her door to cancel our appointment when the main hospital office returned my call to take care of me. AS usual if you don't cancel within 24 hours they will charge you anyway...hence my urgency to get her notified. All in all I would not recommend her to anyone. Incidentally...the hospital manager called me and took notes and promised each of these issues would be addressed and offered sincere apologies. UUUggghhh!

Would not recommend. Doctor was too quick to increase anti-depressants, even when I began having suicidal thoughts, which I never had before. I got off the anti-depressants, went on a good nutritional eating plan with a lot of exercise and I feel so much better than when I was on the drugs and when I was depressed.
