Dr. Sunny Hui Zhang, MD

I went to OB-GYN Associates for a Saline Infused Sonography (SIS). The staff were excellent but my experience with Dr. Zhang was traumatizing. During the SIS, she was experiencing difficulties getting the catheter in properly, which was causing a lot of pain. I told her maybe we should stop and just end with the ultrasound results we already had. Instead, she said she was going to clamp my cervix. Before I could even process that, she did it and it was excruciating. She then quickly completed the rest of the exam. I was in substantial pain for days afterward with significant bleeding. I had a similar procedure done a few months prior (catheter and all) by a different doctor and experienced zero pain and only very minor spotting the same day. Dr. Zhang may be knowledgeable but her hands-on care lacks sensitivity and consent. It took me three months to feel relatively normal again and I am still working through a lingering side effect.

I waited 1 hour and 5 minutes to be seen. No apologies or explanation whatsoever about the one hour of waiting after my scheduled time. My charts said I suffer from anxiety and depression and she had the most cruel comments to me. I was extremely surprised she had zero empathy for a doctor especially with the comments and look of disapproval. It was my first and last visit with this doctor. If you are hard core and can brush away extremely cruel remarks, you'll be okay with her. If not and you're soft like me, don't waste your time going there.

I decided to hire Dr Zhang as my medical doctor for my annual check up approximately ten years ago. I will be letting her go as my doctor after my last visit. Her close mindedness was not only unprofessional but sad. I would appreciate a doctor that actually cares about proven methods; the most recent methods of enabling a person the best possible quality of life. Instead she spends more time attempting to prove who is and isn't in her "group." Had she only spent that energy looking at my charts. Pushing a drug as "the answer" and being inflexible as a doctor are two of the reasons I will be letting her go as my doctor.

Dr. Zhang is amazing. After six months with another OB in the area, I decided to seek a second opinion regarding our fertility issues. At our appointment, she outlined our options, ordered an ultrasound for the following Monday and I have surgery scheduled for next month. Dr. Zhang is very clear cut and strait to the point and tends to use more technical terms, which some may take as 'not compassionate', I however appreciated some one being strait forward with us. I highly recommend Dr. Zhang to any couple who is struggling with fertility and am hopeful she will have us pregnant in no time!

She has done a great job managing my fertility struggle and subsequent pregnancies. Love her!!

I was referred to Dr. Zhang by my regular OB after not getting pregnant after 12 months of trying. She was able to review my situation and set up a game plan, which we implemented right away. Two months later and I'm expecting twins! She was very clear and concise, very articulate regarding my situation. I recommend her to everyone I know now!

I just moved to the area and shortly after moving, experienced a miscarriage. She was kind and thoughtful with both me and my husband. I like her sense of humor, too.

I was kept waiting over an hour, then when I was finally seen, I felt like both Dr. Zhang and her nurses talked over me and brushed off my questions. I was not impressed.

I have enjoyed having Dr. Zhang as my doc! When I mentioned basal body temping, she had no trouble understanding what I was saying. I met her during a miscarriage and she was caring and compassionate. She cared for me during both of my pregnancies, delivering my first. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and thoughtfully and took very seriously my opinion regarding avoiding an induction with my second child (who did come on her own). She herself called me regarding test results and options during my miscarriage and she stopped by after the birth of my second child just to meet her, even though she wasn't on call. I look forward to seeing her during my third pregnancy!

I had poor experiences with both the office staff and the doctor. The staff were disorganized and often blunt and brusque. After multiple tests, I received my results in a very cold, blunt way over the phone. Follow-up was difficult. My calls were always returned by nurses, who sometimes didn't even have my full record in front of them.
