Dr. Suren Chelian, DDS

Dr. Suren Chelian grew up in San Diego, California. he acquired his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Boston University, Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Prior to that he  earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the prestigious SDM Dental College of India, rated number one in all of Asia.
Dr. Chelian practiced general dentistry in Massachusetts and Rhode Island before he realized his interest for orthodontics. At the same time he conducted research on Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics (Wilckodontics), a method to shorten the treatment time in braces. He also obtained his certification in Wilckodontics.
Dr. Chelian completed his specialization in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Boston University; where he had the privilege of training directly under Dr. Anthony Gianelly, a world-renowned orthodontist and founder of the modern Bi-Dimensional technique. During his residency he obtained advanced certification in Invisalign, a popular technique where …clear aligners are used instead of braces to straighten teeth. Before completing his residency he obtained his board certification and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Chelian's passion for orthodontics relies on many hours of continuing education. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, New Hamphshire Dental Society, and the Greater Nashua Dental society. He holds dental licenses in Massachusetts, New Hamphshire, and Rhode Island.
