Dr. Surendra Mohan Kumar, MD

Hey.. Dr. Kumar was a freaking pediatrician before he became a sub doctor. And to me that's just mind boggling. Has anyone reported him to the medical board yet ? ?? I did in the year 2000 Hopefully in 2024 he isn't practicing medicine. ???

This DOCTOR has been my doctor for 3 years until this morning when i walked out and refused to ever come back to his office. You cant ask questions on his bad days but wont know when the time should come but watch out when it does he will, call you stupid, lack of common sense, or that you have no common sense. TO SUGGEST HE let patients know who the new hire is what set him off, on a 5 min tangent of belittling and berating me, of which i took until he put his hand up n my face and proceeded to lie saying i told him what to do in his office. Upon leaving i was crying and shocked at his behavior. So i waited to email him til the evening to settle down and tell him how i felt without disrecpect and he further insulted me saying i was imbalaced, needed to live n reality, and told me he responded out of curtosey of being a paitent, but included more insults. All While writing I'd be fondly missed! Makes no sense. I think hes off his rocker and lost all abilities to remain a decent … doctor, who does no harm. I would suggest you find another doctor if you have a question or suggestion bc he takes it as you arguing, questioning him and tellimg him what to do. he was irrate, disgusting, distribing, he belittled me,and berated me for mins while i simply repeated ok bc i wanted to leave as quick as i could. FIND A DOCTOR WITH COMPASSION BC HE HAS NONE! It was one of the most horrible experiences ive had with a doctor! Beware bc i watched him also do this to a patient last month bc the patient walked in bc the doctoee never responded to an apt request email! Ps. 1 member of the staff is the best her name starts with S. And shes the best .

Used him as my Suboxone Maint doctor. Seems like a good doc at first. However, once I took the final jump 100% off, he told me to meditate and pray. As I believe meditation and spiritual guidance can help, they only do so much when I was in extreme discomfort. Most other doctors will prescribe Clonidine and other medications such as antidepressants for a few weeks after. Especially since I needed to be at work daily. But he refused to do as such. I would recommend getting another Sub detox doctor.

This dr does some to have a split personality. After my husband and I split, I was in to see him for an ear infection, and he went on to offer me unsolicited advice about our separation. It was embarrassing and insulting, and extremely chauvanistic, too. The intern who was in the room was clearly mortified, and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. When I made a follow up call, I guess I sounded upset/angry so staff just put me on hold then disconnected me. When the dr finally returned my call, he yelled at me and chastised me like some child. I have never returned to him. Totally unprofessional. I am surprised he is still practicing. He had said our daughter's abdominal pain was from her tight pants. It was a UTI! Beware

They were of no assistance. In matters like this, it is literally the patient's word against the doctors. My experience with doctor Kumar was absolutely awful. I have 2 serious medical conditions and when one of my specialist attempted to coordinate my medical records with him, he informed them that I was not one of his patients and would not provide them with information regarding my lab results. It doesn't matter what kind of mood you are in, you have to take the health of your patients seriously. The state absolutely needs to look in to this "doctor".

He is very insensitive, tells parents he doesn't know what is wrong with child, very insensitive to family members.

This doctor has a very serious memory problem, thats the reason he refers to his inaccurate notes. Also, he becomes irrate for no reason at all, he makes false accusations and appears to be mentally unstable. I would never know what kind of day he was having and would therefore approach caustiously until it finally became to much for me to tolerate. The medical board should look into what is going on with him.

Whenever I go in to see the doctor my wait time is extremely quick compared to other doctors. I appreciate the fact that he always goes over my past visits to make sure the problem has been addressed and the diagnois is still working. He has wonderful bedside manner and he remembers the conversations we had on my last visits.

Not good for your kids

mY SON HAS BEEN GOING TO DR. KUMAR FOR 17 YEARS, HE IS PROMPT AND COURTEOUS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN RESPONSIVE TO MY CHILD'S NEEDS.
