Dr. Suresh Chandra Gupta, MD

I saw Dr. Gupta for several years. He had a very nice bedside manner and made me feel like he cared and seemed like he was knowledgable. However, when I look back now I realize how lightly he took my symptoms - blaming every ailment on stress. My daughter finally convinced me to see another doctor. I reluctantly went. During the initial routine exam with the doctor my daughter recommended, the minute he touched my neck, he asked me what was wrong with my thyroid. I told him that I had been having pain in my neck area for at least a year but Dr. Gupta would feel my neck, take a standard thyroid blood test and say everything was normal. The new doctor sent me for a CT scan and they found a large tumor on my thyroid. After surgery, I was told that I had cancer in my thyroid as well. I have never returned to Dr. Gupta - I feel that he risked my life because of his poor ability to correctly diagnose and lack of care to look further into the pain I told him about.
