My husband was extremely ill in the hospital with an infection and had a rare reaction to an antibiotic that caused the kidneys to fail. Dr. Matthew was very supportive, answered all our questions, very compassionate and knowlegable. My husband had to have 4 dialysis treatments and as expected the kidneys returned to normal and now the Cr is better than it ever was. Dr. Matthew was able to follow him during a week in a rehab hospital and it was very comforting to know he was there with us.

My husband is the patient, but Dr. Matthew and his staff have been nothing but kind and compassionate to both of us. He seems more than willing to spend the time to fully explain what is happening, why its happening, and what the possible outcomes are. He also is one of the few specialists we've seen who is willing to see beyond his speciality and not overlook the big picture regarding health problems that concern multiple systems.
