Dr. Surriya Parveen Azam, MD

She is unprofessional!!! She was on the phone for more than half my sessions trying to schedule other appointments. She put me on medicine without telling me there were major side effects so I suffered for almost a year. I had even told her about my symptoms and researched to find out there were side effects but she kept me on it. I saw a new doctor who took me off of it because he said she shouldn't have prescribed me it because it turns out I never needed it. He adjusted the dosage on the med I was already on and I felt 1000% times better than I have in the last 2 years. She never responds to texts, phone calls or voicemails. I had to go to her office if I wanted to get in contact with her but she is only there Saturdays. She fired her biller because the biller hadn't submitted patients' invoices to the insurance companies for almost a year so the time had lapsed for her to be paid by them on some of the invoices. Since she fired the biller she asked me to call my insurance company… to fix this for her and I told her that they confirmed the deadline for submission lapsed and so she told me that I owed her for the money she couldn't collect from some of the invoices that had lapsed. Of course I said no because insurance covered my appointments and it was her fault they wouldn't pay her. She should have her license taken away.

Dr. Azam could not be more unprofessional or uncaring if she tried. She talked over top of me and never attempted to understand the nature of my problems. She was defensive and seemed distracted at all times. She failed to make eye contact during the entire time I was with her. Her best solution was to drug me to the extent that I was not able to function. I would advise anyone considering this doctor to seek help elsewhere.

She was absolutely horrible. After waiting for hours, she only met with me for 15 min. She didn't even make eye contact and rushed me out the door rather abruptly. She rudely told me she didn't have time to deal with me. She is unprofessional and should NEVER be allowed to see patients.
