Dr. Surya Prakashrao Raguthu, MD

I won't mention why I went because he might know who this is. I have been seeing him for almost 3 years now. I had to go to him because my other pain Dr was no longer taking medicaid. At first and up until my last visit, he has been very kind and caring with me. The only complaints I had at that time was he didn't spend enough time talking with me and having to wait over an hour to get in to the exam room and then waiting about another 30 minutes until he came in. I would usually talk to the staff to find out more of what was going on since he was usually in and out after the procedure so fast. The staff there has been wonderful and very kind. He had been wonderful working with me and I was doing a lot better. Life was more bearable. He was always kind and courteous to me. I never had any complaints until a few weeks ago when I went in for my visit. I was even recommending him. I wish I could explain everything but it might give away who I am and it is hard to find pain management… doctors on medicaid and I don't want to be treated worse. He came in and asked how I was doing and I let him know that it was about the same. I asked if another test might help. I was having some other problems from the normal ones he was treating. For some reason he just got very hostile and told me some things that were very unprofessional for a Dr. Up until this time I had no complaints, he had always been very good to me. I still don't know what happened or if there was something I said and why he acted that way towards me. I had heard other patients, while waiting in the lobby, how bad he was treating them, but I didn't think much of it because you always have complainers. But I can understand some of them now. All I can say is that I did really like him but now I'm afraid of what will happen in my next visits if his personality can change on you so radically like that. I just hope it was a bad day for him but that is still no excuse to speak to me the way he did.

Horrible! Very unorganized. Has to ask his office staff from time to time to remind him of a patient's treatment history.

He tell's me one diagnosis for 9 months and then says he is stumped and changes my medicine from something that works too one I can't take do to it has a major interaction with my asthma and a muscle relaxer. He doesn't even really talk to me. I'm very upset, I've been seeing him for almost a year for nothing.

This has to be the rudest, most unprofessional doctor I have ever been to. His communication skills need work to say the least. He is argumentative and self important. During the initial exam he shoved a knuckle in my back that almost sent me out of my chair.

I went to this "doctor" for and EMG test and it was the worst experience ever. He was very rough and was on his cell phone arguing the whole time, after the exam I asked him for the results and ignored me and kept texting, once he finished being on his phone all he said was " it's fine" and left, he left twice during the exam. This man is very rude, unprofessional he should have his license to practice revoked or get his priorities in line. ( which is not being on his phone during a consultation) I would not recommend this place nor "doctor" to anyone !!!

I went to Dr. Raguthu for about 2 and a half months. He performed Radio Frequency Ablation. I am now incontinent which I never was before. The procedures are terribly painful and the deadening was not deep enough and the needles went through the deadened area and cause extreme lower back pain. The condition has progressively worsened. I did not go back after I spent a day urinating down my leg. Oh, I still have the pain in my lower back radiating down the right hip and leg and am still on a cane. Good Luck if you use this man.

The staff was courteous and professional but the doctor took no time to discuss my history or treatment options. He was rude and condescending and I wouldn't send my worst enemy to him. He was on his cell phone the entire time he performed a procedure on me and busy making lunch plans. He was in such a hurry to see the next patient he walked out of the exam room whole I was in the middle of asking him a question. So unprofessional and left me feeling hopeless and even suggested I find another doctor when I questioned him about the medications he prescribed without even discussing them with me or reviewing my MRI. I would never go back to this doctor and would never recommend him to anyone.
