Dr. Susan Vento Benenati, MD

I called Dr. Benenati's office to book an appointment as a new patient for both of my daughters, sadly my first experience wasn't very pleasant. Gabriela the receptionist left me waiting for about 10 minutes on my first attempt. I ended up calling back because I honestly thought the call had been dropped. On my second call I noticed that I was put on hold again, so I guessed at this point the wasn't anything wrong with the phone line and I just had to wait. After about 10 more minutes of wait time, the receptionist was back on the phone, she seemed short and rude, however, I continued my pursuit of booking an appointment. I was lucky to get an appointment in 3 weeks, but when I tried to book my other daughter on the same day she stated that they cant see members of the same family on the same day. in other words, I have to take 2 days off work just so I can bring my daughter's in for allergy consult. She offered to ask the doctor for authorization but honestly, I am so disappointed… that now I'm not sure if I want her to be our doctor. it also didn't help the condescending tone of the receptionist in the delivery. I had received great reviews from my friends about the doctor, I wonder if she is aware of how her staff handles the front office and the patients. Perhaps a little customer service will help enhance the patients experience with the first person we come in contact when trying to reach the doctor.
