I have been a licensed Independent Professional Counselor and an Independent Substance Abuse Counselor in Arizona for 20+ year. I have extensive training and experience in using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), Trauma Informed Care, and Substance Abuse Recovery. In addition, I have training in and have worked with a few Iraq veterans. I do not have any adverse issues when it comes to working with the Gay and Lesbian population. I believe change is hard but it can be done, so never give up.
I was born in Arizona and have lived my life here except for 3 + years in Alaska. I went to Alaska for my Graduate Intern and stayed a few more years. I enjoy camping, fishing and traveling as well as doing landscape wall quilts out of fabric. I have had dogs and cats for most of my life. I had 3 dogs, 2 long haired collies (like Lassie) and an Akita. I have lived with chronic health …issues for most of my life and am a Breast Cancer survivor.
