She only in 3 days a week then your on your own!Tells her patient to go to a ER just for minor stuff horrible front office.She wrote a prescription for diabetes it was giving me heartburn went on a Tuesday called the following Tuesday to get advice about taking a antacid she wanted me to come back in so she could tell me what antacid I could take I WAS JUST THERE! Her office said to go to a ER!really? They are horrible all about the money not for care.look for a full time doctor not this one.

I have had several internist in the course of my lifetime. I have found Dr. Susan Burrowes very competent, empathetic and patient. She explains everything in terms that I understand and ALWAYS makes me feel better with her approach. She will call personally with tests results and answer any questions I may have. I highly recommend Dr. Burrowes because she cares about her patients !

This dr. cannot identify an ear infection

She has been consistently one of the best physicians I've ever seen. She's thorough, explains everything, is patient, kind and follows up. Would recommend her for any adult needing primary care.

When she was located in Skokie, I would have rated her 5 stars across the board. Since she has moved to Park Ridge, it is a constant struggle to even get a perscription refilled. Staff is slow and rude. The personal care has disappeared to money. You have to pay to have a school form filled out. Pay copayment before they even let you sit down. Don't tell the doctor your there so you wait forever (Once she didn't know I was there until she was walking out the door and saw me. I had been there for well over an hour.) There is no concern for a patient and you have to schedule an appointment every six months to renew perscriptions and full labs every year. Patients have clearly become dollar bills to this office.

Dr. Susan Burrowes is a very caring,competent doctor. She answers all my questions and calls personally with the results of tests. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an internist who is the best in treating patients.

I accompanied my 80-something mother to Dr. Burrowes' office. In this era of managed care, when Americans have become accustomed to getting the rush act, I have never seen a physician spend more time or be more caring with a patient. If I didn't live an hour away, I'd be switching internists -- pronto.
