Dr. Susan Lynn Edwards, MD

Nearly 30 years ago, Dr. Edwards was to see me for a routine occupational physical. I'd never seen her before in my life. The physical went as planned, and she saw an opportunity for money in contributing a "healthy field mouse" for her paid studies. At approximately 24 years of age, and believing in the Hippocratic Oath, I trusted she knew what she was talking about when the suggestion of Prozac came to the table. (Keep in mind I was young and impressionable -- not considering she knew nothing of my personality when she said I seemed depressed. Never seen me before.) Without giving the antidepressant the full month to absorb into my body, her office called about a week later and asked how I was doing. I told them there was no change. After increasing my dosage two more times over the course of a month, I began falling asleep at work. Dr. Edwards suggested I take three pills previous to going to sleep. I was not given any warnings from Dr. Edwards -- otherwise, I… definitely would have heeded them. So, when my dad and brother were going on a fishing excursion and invited me along, I grabbed my swimsuit and we headed to the canyons. (In case you aren't aware, sunlight is more intense there, and when on Prozac the sun should be avoided.) I laid out in the mountains all day and blistered the next. The rest is, as they say, history. "A history" I vaguely recall. I regressed to a three-year-old level, unable to remember which knob was hot and which was cold while taking a shower -- or which direction was "on" or "off." I'd sometimes get out with shampoo in my hair after boiling and freezing myself. I wound up living with my father because the second time I got a ride to work, incapable of driving, my supervisor brought me home and told my father not to bring me back without a doctor's consent. Unfortunately, since Dr. Edwards denied any wrong doing, there was no consent. Not only did I lose my job, I couldn't get the help I needed to get better. But her office was so concerned with being sued, she refused to treat me or grant acknowledgement of having anything to do with it. Personally, remembering who my friends were and making a living -- not to mention knowing who I was, myself, deemed more pressing than suing her. I worked as a brainless exotic dancer, graduated to a truck driver reading directions from a computer, and held multiple positions while increasing the brain power of an IQ of 128. I'm 52-years old now. I'd been studying law when the situation started. Jotting notes down and even recording them didn't save me. I returned to school four more times over the course of nearly 30 years and graduated on my 49th birthday -- no longer believing in the judicial system, I surrendered my formal studies and received my 3.7 GPA in writing. I'll start my master's in two weeks with business. However, not being able to receive medical attention leaves me to my own devices for therapy. (Ironic, eh?) Meanwhile, my personality has changed profusely--hopefully for the better, although I scarcely remember my old self. And I still have to study three times as much to retain new information. As a single mother of two school children, working full-time, and attending school full-time, it's clear I don't easily give in to failure. I am, however, disappointed Dr. Susan Edwards does. I do hope she purchased something nice with the money she garnered from my future.

Very BAD bedside manner! Inaccurate diagnosis, with no follow up as promised. Awful! Awful! Awful!

Dr. Edwards is very thorough and I feel confident in her opinions. She keeps me updated on all vaccinations and fills prescription updates in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend this doctor.

Foothill Clinic is the absolute dirtiest place I have ever been. Urine samples sit in open cups on the toilet. Used gowns are thrown in a basket that is overflowing in the middle of the hall. Edwards is too busy and has yet to ever be knowledgeable. She is judgemental and lets her opinions cloud facts.

Have had Dr. Edwards as a Dr. For years. She is thorough and accurate. I would recommend her, but there is always a long wait. She is booked months out for a physical. Once in the office it's usually a half hour wait once you get in the exam room.

Very Thorough, just seems to have to many patients so little time. I would give her 5 stars if there was little wait and she didnt seem so rushed sometimes.

She is late sometimes, but worth the wait. Excellent care and great personality.

The past times I have been in, she seems irritated i am there. Usually i expect to be waiting anywhere from 30 mintues to 60.
