Dr. Susan Michelle Federman, MD

Took the day off for a sinus infection, yellow-greenish drainage was coming form from my nose and was running a temp of 101. Waited in the exam room for an hour only to be handed a box of Sudfed. I later ended up in the E.R. with a higher temp and more intense facial pain. The E.R. attending prescribed the appropriate course of action with the appropriate antibiotics. He listen to me and apologized for her inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. Like any profession, there are good doctors and there are not so good doctors. She falls into the NOT SO GOOD!!

Dr. Federman is very thorough and very knowledgeable. She listens to you and takes all the time needed to address your problems. She is very compassionate and understanding.

Dr. Federman is great doctor who cares. I appreciate the candid communication. Keep up the good work!

I was a patient of Dr. Federman's for many years, so this is hard to write but I now know that when searching for a new doctor, reviews can make a world of difference. After missing what I now know were very obvious signs of a common condition (for almost 2 years!) I reluctantly stayed with her and realized I made the wrong choice. I have always felt uncomfortable being able to talk to her about problems and/or issues (she just always seemed to be on edge and off put by clinical conversation she doesn't initiate) and after a few extremely unprofessional visits I realize it is time to switch to a more considerate and professional physician. I am not looking for an uptight strictly business kind of doc, as I am laid back person myself but I cannot go back to her and know that I am receiving excellent or even good medical care.

Her nurse was rude and talked about me while I was in the waiting room not knowing I was there and I heard her. BIG violation of HIPPA. I was repeatedly misdiagnosed multiple times. Kept being checked for diabetes when ultimately I had M.S. I went to the E.R. straight from her office because she basically told me I was having a nervous breakdown and I needed to see a psychiatrist there was nothing more she could do for me. That was where I found out I had M.S. but she called the E.R. and said she sent me. Then when I told Ms. Federman and her staff not to contact me ever again she had the nerve she was fired she had the nerve to call me the next day and send me information. I guess because I am a R.N. and know my body better I knew what to do. What have I have noticed in the years since this has happened patients that have crossed my path in my practice it seems that many of them have now been worked up for M.S.

Dr. Federman is pretty awesome. When her practice stopped taking my insurance, I was really sad. She's kind, funny, and a great diagnostician and doctor. I wish I could still see her!

Overall, I have had a very good experience with Dr. Federman. Listens and communicates well, and staff is courteous and helpful. Sometimes the waiting room can be a bit crowded, but I am very happy with the care.
