This doctor doesn’t care for her patients. Signing authorization papers for needed medications is apparently too much of a task to complete for a lady that’s insulin dependent. If they assign her to you please ask for someone else. Something that takes 5 minutes shouldn’t take 2 weeks. Her medical assistant Jamie is no better.

Yes. This is a 'nice' lady. But, her office, and unfortunately, SMA, are losers. I called a week ago for a prescription refill. It took TWO days for 'her office' to tell me that I'd have to go in for labwork before the doc renewed this prescription, Keep in mind this medication does NOT alter blood chemistry. The only thing it CAN do is give you an irregular heartbeat. But since, a previous loser, Dr. Ahn, did nothing in depth to explore the cause for my occasional chest pain, hey, why would Galvin? She didn't when told about it. At any rate, I had the labs drawn, ie, a tedious 4 hours at Quest. Per Galvin's office, the lab results would be 'in' the next day. I called the next day. Nope. Nothing from Quest. I asked them if they'd called Quest to get the results faxed to them. (That's what one does when a medication for a patient depends on a lab and the patient has no more of that particular medication. I know. I'm an RN, and do this reflexively for all of my patients.) Nope,… they were going to wait til Quest made the first move. So I called Quest. The lab results had been in hours previously with the exception of an HbA1c lab. My medication does not influence blood glucose levels. I asked Quest to faxed the lab results they had. They stated that that would be done within 5 minutes. So I waited a half hour. Cause..well..because I'm nice--no, well, really because I know 5 minutes could turn into a half hour at worst in a busy setting. I then called Galvin's office. Nope. Nothing yet. I called Quest back. Yes, they'd faxed them FOUR minutes after I'd spoken with them initially. Now, I'm attempting to communicate this to Galvin's office wondering what kind of hominids they employed there. I told the SMA 'customer service' person that I had to actually talk to the office 'again' to have them look again for those faxed results as my prescription was needed that day. For at least five attempts, all calls going to Susan Galvin's office were CUT OFF after TWO rings. I then called 'customer service' again. They stated that at SMA, that's 'just what happens' when the switchboard is busy. I said 'Really? You mean you cut people off calls after two rings...on PURPOSE? That's your regular mode of operating? Your rules?' She said 'Yes'. So, as you know by now, this customer service person and the personnel in Susan Galvin's office must have familial/genetic connections. As far as Galvin goes, you can be an Olympic swimmer, but if you have to swim laps in a swamp, your performance just won't be very good.
