Dr. Susan Koreen Gelman, MD

Dr. Gilman did a battery of tests for an ocular migraine and said all looked good. When the migraine returned I called and asked what to do. She advised that she had no idea and that I should see a neurologist. She had failed to refer me to a neurologist when I saw her so that the condition went untreated. Now, I have a new impossibly urgent problem. I have called over the past two days four times and never received a call back each time. I was told they kept reaching out to Dr. Gilman and had nothing to report but to call back. They gave me no appointment and no referral. I gave up and went elsewhere. You should too.

I have been a patient of this practice for over a decade. I had a severe illness that affected my eyes several years ago which caused me to need to see Dr. Gelman every 4-6 weeks for a while. She has always been thorough, curious, kind and easy to talk to. She’s smart and open-minded. In a sea of rushed, dogmatic NYC docs, she stands out. I highly recommend her.
