Dr. Susan Elaine Henley, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Henley for Type 1 Diabetes for a few years now. She is kind and very knowledgable. Her help with insulin dosing and getting on a pump and CGM has been a great help to me. I like her staff, too.

This clinic has the worst receptionist(s) and or MAs. It doesn’t matter to them how long you sit and wait. The MA doesn’t ’t tell you squat about whether you appointment is at the clinic or virtual. When you ask for new prescriptions they wait and wait, if they even sent them in the first place, which I doubt. She needs to retire as soon as possible

Office staff very pleasant and helpful. Doctor Henley was understanding and listened to what I had to say. She answered my questions and made recommendation to add one medication and adjusted another medication. She ordered tests. I was very pleased with Dr. Henley and her staff.

I even never got to see Dr Henley as I could not get past the rude receptionist to set up an appointment. I was told I need referral from my insurance, which I don't. Then I was told I needed to provide 2 years of office notes from my previous doctor in order to see Henley. I was not about to do that as I left my previous doctor for less than adequate care and did not even want to contact his office. This office is arrogant and certainly not patient focused. Go elsewhere!!!

The doctor is very rude. I was written a letter signwd by Dr. Henley in all caps stating how I missed my appointment and thay they do not send reminders. It even stated that if they send the bill to collections (without notice) that I will no longer be a patient at COLORADO Springs Endocrine Clinic. I have never missed an appointment or not paid a bill. I found the letter to be unprofessional and rude.

Dr Henley is the third endocrinologist I have seen in the past 18 years. She Compares very favourably with the others. She knows what she is talking about and has a great patient bedside manner. I have had no negative experiences with. the doctor or her staff

I actually did not see Dr Henley, but did see her PA who was unprofessional. She read from her script and did not deviate from it. Could not answer questions when asked. Did not spend the appropriate time to evaluate the situation. Was in a hurry. Office atmosphere was gloomy. Staff was not friendly.

She is a GREAT doctor. She LISTENS to you and spends the time to EXPLAIN what is wrong with you. She doesn't make you feel stupid! She also has a GREAT staff especially her Medical Assistant.

Outstanding.

She says something different every appointment. She doesn't remember what plan she set in motion 2 months ago. Its different every time. And she wanted my husband to go on a very low dose of thyroid after he had his thyroid gland taken out. He would be dead by now.
